They usually say that alone we can grow up to a certain point, that no matter how high it is, there is still a limit. Now, when we decide to grow with our friends, partners or community, there may not be a ceiling to limit how far we can go. The power of engaging people to help each other is something that has enormous potential, but is often not used as it should.

One of the things I learned the most here at #Hive was precisely about this, how engagement can make a difference, that no matter how alone we can grow and gain many followers and votes that give us good value, being in contact with many people it can be much better and bring exponential returns in proportion to our way of talking and interacting with the rest of the community.

Since I started looking for more interaction and engagement through comments, I realized that this path is one of the most fun and promising, because it's nice to read people's points of view, as well as leave mine in two posts, understand a little more about their culture and create bonds of interaction that can bring great joy to both parties.

With that brief introduction, I looked for #Hive tools, one that would help control who has been communicating with me, because sometimes due to the abundance of notifications, I get lost with those related to who mentioned me or commented on my post.

With that, I found Engage (https://engage.hivechain.app), created by @arcange and it is an amazing tool to help me visualize the interactions that have been taking place in my posts.

In order not to make this post so long, the idea is not to explain each point of the tool, because I found what it does to be very simple and dynamic. After logging in via @keychain, the screen shown above is loaded, showing on the left side all the comments you have received that you have not yet responded to.

Here engagement becomes even more fun, as it has become simpler to view and respond to those who contact me. I believe the most important thing than creating awesome posts is responding to the people who comment on those posts. I go crazy when I forget to reply to someone, after all, if I have an audience that follows me, that likes my content and best of all, engages with them, it is my duty to give them due attention.

So with Engage this is much smoother. As shown in the image below, we can divide between comments and mentions, trying to find what we want to see and respond to.

Whenever a bunch of notifications come in, I'm going to Engage to see what the comments and mentions are, so I can respond to everyone so I don't leave anyone behind.

What about engagement with Bots? How is it?

I adopted a policy that is perhaps too radical for #Hive standards today, but I simply stopped using bot commands, as they became, in my opinion, a false engagement. So you have a post with 20 comments, but 17 are bot replies and more bots. At first I really thought it was cool, but then I realized that this was not what I wanted, I really wanted to see real engagement.

To tell you the most honest truth, I didn't stop completely with the commands, because I still use the HBITS command in my posts from time to time, because I think it's one of the least polluting, with just a few words and a compact overall text:

For the comments I make, I decided to focus on the use of just two and even then, their use is still pretty random. The first is LUV, because its main idea is focused on love and I think this is something super important in any social network and in our lives: love exists. Your text is also very compact, helping to not pollute so much.

Finally, I discovered another really cool one that I had no idea existed, it's a bot called with the HUG command and well, it's a hug, so I thought it was cool to use it, with a very small and direct text. Hugs are always welcome, sometimes a hug can save lives.

Okay, now, going back to Engage, we have another cool function. If you go back to that first image I posted about the tool, you'll see that there are some unanswered comments there. It turns out that comments left by bots also appear there, but it is possible to mark the desired profile to be ignored and thus, it will not appear for us to see.

In the image below, I show two messages that are automatic or generated by bots. I can click on any of them and the message will be loaded in full there on the right, clicking on “IGNORE AUTHOR”, the comments of this author will no longer appear for me in the left section! Then I'll have a clean automessage feed showing only real people who interacted with my posts!

Just to be clear, this ignore option is only inside Engage, I'm not muting the profile or anything like that inside Hive, it's only inside Engage!

As I always like to say, no one is obligated to do anything, so no one needs to do or not do something when observing someone else's attitude towards some of their point of view. In my case, I started to simply value true engagement, people's comments, so I took this attitude of reducing the use of bots in comments and posts.

My conclusion is that this guideline of seeking engagement has been my best moment at #Hive, because despite already participating in a community here and there, with these comments that members in general have left on my posts and those that I leave it back, it seems it made everything more special.

I'm really enjoying what I've been building these last few days, matured, I'm starting to realize that some things I used and did often back then, don't make sense today, when we aim to use engagement as a north, to grow and stand out in #Hive.

Costumam dizer que sozinhos podemos crescer até um certo ponto, que por mais que seja alto, ainda têm um limite. Agora, quando decidimos crescer com nossos amigos, parceiros ou comunidade, é possível que não exista um teto para limitar o quanto podemos ir longe. O poder do engajamento da ajuda das pessoas uma com as outras é algo que tem um potencial enorme, mas, muitas vezes não é utilizado como deveria.

Uma das coisas que mais aprendi aqui na #Hive, foi justamente sobre isso, como o engajamento pode fazer a diferença, que por mais que sozinhos podemos crescer e ganhar muitos seguidores e votos que nos retornam um bom valor, estar em contato com várias pessoas pode ser muito melhor e trazer retornos exponenciais a proporção a nossa maneira de conversar e interagir com o restante da comunidade.

Desde que comecei a buscar mais interação e engajamento por meio dos comentários, percebi que esse caminho é um dos mais divertidos e promissores, por ser legal ler o ponto de vista das pessoas, assim como deixar o meu em duas postagens, entender um pouco mais sobre a cultura delas e criar laços de interação que podem trazer grandes alegrias para ambas as partes.

Com essa breve introdução, procurei pelas ferramentas da #Hive, uma que ajudaria a controlar quem têm se comunicado comigo, pois devido às vezes a abundância de notificações, me perco com as relacionadas a quem me mencionou ou comentou na minha postagem.

Com isso, encontrei o Engage ((https://engage.hivechain.app)), criado pelo @arcange e é uma ferramenta incrível para me ajudar a visualizar as interações que tem ocorrido nas minhas postagens.

Para não alongar tanto essa postagem, a ideia não é explicar sobre cada ponto da ferramenta, até porque achei bem simples e dinâmico o que ela faz. Após realizar o login pela @keychain, a tela mostrada acima é carregada, mostrando na parte da esquerda, todos os comentários que você recebeu e ainda não respondeu.

Aqui o engajamento se torna algo mais divertido ainda, pois se tornou simples visualizar e responder aqueles que entram em contato comigo. Acredito que a coisa mais importante do que criar postagens incríveis, é responder às pessoas que comentam essas postagens. Fico maluco quando esqueço de responder alguém, afinal, se tenho um público que me segue, que gosta do meu conteúdo e o melhor de tudo, engaja neles, é meu dever dar a devida atenção para eles.

Então com o Engage isso fica bem mais tranquilo. Como mostra a imagem abaixo, podemos dividir entre comentários e menções, buscando encontrar aquilo que queremos ver e responder.

Sempre que vem um monte de notificações, estou acessando o Engage para ver quais são comentários e menções, para conseguir responder a todos e assim não deixe ninguém para trás.

E o engajamento realizado com Bots? Como que fica?

Adotei uma política talvez radical demais para os padrões da #Hive atualmente, mas eu simplesmente parei de utilizar os comandos de bots, por se tornarem, na minha opinião, um falso engajamento. Então você tem um post com 20 comentários, mas 17 são respostas de bots e mais bots. No começo eu realmente achava legal, mas, depois percebi que isso não era o que queria, desejava ver realmente o verdadeiro engajamento.

Para dizer a mais sincera verdade, não cheguei a parar de tudo com os comandos, pois vez ou outra ainda utilizo o comando do HBITS nos meus posts, pois acho ele um dos menos poluentes, com apenas algumas palavras e um texto geral compacto:

Para os comentários que faço, decidi focar no uso de apenas dois e mesmo assim, ainda é bem aleatório o seu uso. O primeiro é o LUV, pois a sua ideia principal é focada em amor e acho que isso é algo super importante em qualquer rede social e na nossa vida: existir o amor. Seu texto também é bem compacto, auxiliando a não poluir tanto.

Por fim, descobri outro bem legal que nem fazia ideia que existia, é um bot chamado com o comando HUG e bem, ele é um abraço, então achei legal utilizar ele, com um texto bem pequeno e direto. Abraços são sempre bem vindos, às vezes um abraço pode salvar vidas.

Ok, agora, voltando para o Engage, temos outra função bem legal. Se você voltar naquela primeira imagem que postei sobre a ferramenta, você irá ver que têm alguns comentários ali sem responder. Acontece que os comentários deixados por bots, também aparecem ali, mas, é possível marcar o perfil desejado para ser ignorado e assim, não irá aparecer para vermos.

Na imagem abaixo, mostro duas mensagens que são automáticas ou geradas por bots. Posso clicar em alguma delas e assim será carregada a mensagem por completo ali na direita, clicando em “IGNORE AUTHOR”, os comentários deste autor não irão aparecer mais para mim na seção da esquerda! Então, terei um feed limpo de mensagens automáticas, mostrando apenas as pessoas reais que interagiram nas minhas postagens!

Só para deixar claro, essa opção de ignorar é apenas dentro do Engage, eu não estou silenciando o perfil ou qualquer coisa do tipo dentro da Hive, é apenas dentro do Engage!

Como sempre gosto de dizer, ninguém é obrigado a nada, então ninguém precisa fazer ou deixar de fazer algo ao observar a atitude de outra pessoa em relação com algum ponto de vista dela. No meu caso, comecei a simplesmente prezar pelo engajamento verdadeiro, os comentários das pessoas, por isso tomei essa atitude de reduzir o uso de bots nos comentários e postagens.

A minha conclusão é que esta diretriz de buscar engajamento tem sido o meu melhor momento na #Hive, pois apesar de já ser participativo em uma comunidade aqui e outra ali, com esses comentários que os membros em geral têm deixado nas minhas postagens e os que deixo de volta, parece que tornou tudo mais especial.

Estou gostando bastante do que estou construindo nestes últimos dias, amadurecido, começo a perceber que algumas coisas que lá atrás eu utilizava e fazia com frequência, não fazem sentido hoje, quando visamos utilizar o engajamento como um norte, para crescer e se destacar na #Hive.
