[ENG/PT-BR] Sunday Reflections: The healing process begins within us

We have probably heard or seen somewhere a phrase similar to this: “person X was cured by person Y” and so, it seems that we imagine that person Y has some kind of special healing power, like in an RPG game or an anime, where they make some command with their hands or say enchanted words and everything is resolved. Negative, things are not always that simple and the process of mental, physical or emotional healing goes beyond that, because whether you like it or not, one person cannot heal another in this way.

Not that in our example person Y didn't really help, that does happen, because every day we have parents, family, spouses, children, or even a special friendship that helps us in the process of healing our suffering and bitterness, but, none of this is possible if the process of wanting healing does not come from ourselves. If you yourself, as an individual, are not capable of wanting to correct your mistakes and heal your problems, if this does not start with you, it is unlikely that anyone else will be able to do this for you.

Which brings us to another well-known teaching, but, in case you don't know, I usually say that “there's no point in wanting to help, who doesn't want to be helped”, it's that simple. These two phrases in quotation marks refer to each other, no one can help anyone if they don't really want to be helped. Therefore, it is important to have the personal desire and willingness to really seek a cure for what ails you so much, in this way internal motivation has the important role of playing a meaning in this healing journey.

Having people who care about you is something great, people who really want to help you overcome something out of love or friendship without expecting anything in return is beautiful, although this type of behavior is increasingly rare, even so, you can have a million of friends wanting to help you, if this desire to overcome does not start within you, I believe that you will only hear a million people saying positive things and in the end, it would remain that way, without you taking a step forward, remaining stationary in the same place.

Let's imagine that the desire to be cured is like car or airplane fuel, without it you won't leave where you are, so this internal desire is what will drive you on this journey of overcoming and recovery, this desire is essential to motivate this search, adopting changes in your life and creating the strength and persistence necessary to go through the entire healing process that you will begin to do. Like a long road, you don't want to stop halfway and go back to the rock bottom you were in, do you?

Finally, here is this reflection so that all of us, faced with problems or adversities in life, can understand that many things can only be overcome if we start from within, from our mind and heart and also have enormous willpower in wanting to leave it behind. these bad things and seek to overcome them. Remember that we are all great, warriors and that we can, with the flame of our will, overcome any obstacle that crosses our path.

Provavelmente, já escutamos ou visualizamos em algum lugar, uma frase parecida com isso: “a pessoa X foi curada pela pessoa Y” e assim desta forma, parece que imaginamos que a pessoa Y, têm algum tipo de poder especial de cura, como em um jogo de RPG ou um anime, onde ela faz algum comando com suas mãos ou diz palavras encantadas e assim tudo se resolve. Negativo, nem sempre as coisas são simples assim e o processo de cura mental, física ou emocional vai, além disso, pois querendo ou não, uma pessoa não consegue curar outra desta forma.

Não que no nosso exemplo a pessoa Y realmente não tenha ajudado, isso acontece, sim, pois diariamente temos pais, família, cônjuges, os filhos, ou até mesmo uma amizade especial que nos ajuda no processo de cura de nosso sofrimento e amargura, mas, nada disso é possível, se o processo de querer a cura não partir de nós mesmos. Se você mesmo, como individuo, não estiver apto a querer corrigir seus erros e curar seus problemas, se isso não começa em você, dificilmente outra pessoa conseguirá fazer isso por você.

O que nos remete a outro ensinamento bastante conhecido, mas, caso você não saiba, costumo dizer que “não adianta querer ajudar, quem não quer ser ajudado” é simples assim. Essas duas frases entre aspas, remetem uma a outra, ninguém consegue ajudar ninguém, se esse alguém não quer ser realmente ajudado. Sendo assim, é importante existir o desejo pessoal e a vontade de realmente buscar uma cura para aquilo que tanto te aflige, desta forma a motivação interna tem o importante papel de desempenhar um significado nesta jornada de cura.

Ter pessoas que se importam com você é algo grandioso, pessoas que querem realmente te ajudar a superar algo por amor ou amizade sem esperar nada em troca é lindo, apesar de cada vez mais raro esse tipo de comportamento, mesmo assim, você pode ter um milhão de amigos querendo te ajudar, se não começar dentro de você essa vontade de superação, acredito que você apenas ouvirá um milhão de pessoas dizendo coisas positivas e no fim, ficaria por isso mesmo, sem que você de um passo para frente, ficando estacionado no mesmo lugar.

Imaginemos, que a vontade de ser curado é como um combustível de carro ou de avião, sem ele você não sairá de onde está, então essa vontade interna é o que vai te impulsionar nessa jornada de superação e recuperação, esse desejo é essencial para motivar essa busca, adotando mudanças em sua vida e criando a força e persistência necessária para percorrer todo o processo de cura que você irá começar a fazer. Como uma longa estrada, você não quer parar no meio do caminho e voltar para o fundo do poço no qual estava, quer?

Enfim, fica essa reflexão para que todos nós, diante dos problemas ou adversidades da vida, possamos entender que muita coisa só é superada se partir de dentro, da nossa mente e coração e assim como ter uma força de vontade enorme em querer deixar para trás essas coisas ruins e buscar a superação delas. Lembre-se que todos somos grandiosos, guerreiros e que podemos com a chama da nossa vontade superar qualquer obstáculo que cruze o nosso caminho.
