When we remember high school, we usually have some memories that mark our life a lot. Whether it's a best friend, best teacher, or the best subject to study, remembering these things is something nostalgic and exciting and it couldn't be different with me.

In my case, I would like to share with you about the subject that has always been my favorite in these times: physical education! Despite not having pursued a professional career in this area, when I was in high school it was the happiest moment for me for two reasons that I will explain to you.

First of all, at that time I was extremely focused on sports such as volleyball, football, basketball and handball and in addition to various other activities such as, for example, “catch the flag”, “pique-pegue” and “statue”, these games of child that many people know, (maybe you who live outside Brazil won't know, but don't worry about that) so it was always a moment of joy and fun.

I dreamed big of pursuing a career in physical education, despite not seeing myself as a teacher at some school, I could end up becoming a coach of some sport or performing some function in a gym, or some derivative, it doesn't matter, if I moved the body I loved was there in the middle of it. So when we had this class, it was extremely important to me, because it was something that, at that moment, I imagined would be part of my professional life.

My favorite sports were football and handball, I felt super happy when I played, when I was on the court with my friends playing, it seems that nothing could harm me, it was my moment to forget about any problem or difficulty, there, I felt comfortable and that's why, loved physical education.

Another point that really cheered me up was that many times, no matter how much we didn't have some physical activity, the moment we left the classroom to go to the court was a moment of freedom, a moment in which we could vent, talk, if have fun with our friends without worrying about being loud or laughing too hard.

It was the famous moment of having a social with my friends, so we would sit on the stairs, on the court or anywhere else and we could comment on how our lives were going, what we thought about for the future, which college or area we wanted to focus on when let's leave high school, anyway, these young things.

I learned a lot in those moments of relaxation, that we didn't always need to do something hectic with rush or sweat for the fun to come to us. We could just sit there and talk, which was already a great reason to strengthen ties with our closest friends, or also take advantage of the moment to talk to the other classmates who weren't very intimate, I loved doing that, getting to whom normally he didn't talk and said: “hi, let's talk?”.

I believe that these physical education classes helped me to develop a little in terms of talking and socializing, asking how a friend was doing and finding out about his life. Knowing each of my colleagues better, I can say that this was something fun and cool for me, that's why I cherish those moments.

Quando lembramos da época do ensino médio, geralmente temos algumas memórias que marcam bastante a nossa vida. Seja um melhor amigo, melhor professor, ou a melhor matéria para estudar, lembrar dessas coisas é algo nostálgico e emocionante e comigo não poderia ser diferente.

No meu caso, gostaria de compartilhar com vocês sobre a matéria que sempre foi a minha preferida nestes tempos: educação física! Apesar de não ter seguido carreira profissional nessa área, na época do ensino médio era o momento de maior alegria para mim por dois motivos que explicarei para vocês.

Em primeiro lugar, nessa época eu era extremamente focado em esportes como vôlei, futebol, basquete e handebol e além de várias outras atividades como, por exemplo, “pega-bandeirinha”, “pique-pegue” e “estatua”, essas brincadeiras de criança que muita gente conhece, (talvez você que mora fora do Brasil não vá conhecer, mas não se preocupe com isso) então era sempre um momento de alegria e diversão.

Eu sonhava alto em seguir carreira na área de educação física, apesar de não me ver como um professor em alguma escola, poderia acabar me tornando um treinador de algum esporte ou exercer alguma função em uma academia, ou algum derivado, não importa, se mexia o corpo, eu amava estava lá no meio disso. Então quando tínhamos essa aula, era extramente importante para mim, pois era algo que naquele momento, imaginava que faria parte da minha vida profissional.

Meus esportes favoritos eram futebol e handebol, me sentia super feliz quando jogava, quando estava na quadra com meus amigos jogando parece que nada poderia me fazer mal, era o meu momento de esquecer qualquer problema ou dificuldade, ali, me sentia confortável e por isso, amava educação física.

Outro ponto que me animava bastante, era que muitas vezes por mais que não tínhamos alguma atividade física, o momento em que saiamos da sala de aula para ir para a quadra era um momento de liberdade, um momento no qual podíamos extravasar, conversar, se divertir com nossos amigos sem se preocupar em falar alto ou rir demais.

Era o famoso momento de realizar uma social com meus amigos, então sentávamos nas escadas, na quadra ou em qualquer outro lugar e podíamos comentar sobre como estavam nossas vidas, no que pensamos para o futuro, em qual faculdade ou área queríamos focar em atuar quando saíssemos do ensino médio, enfim, essas coisas de jovem.

Aprendi bastante nesses momentos de descontração, que nem sempre precisávamos fazer algo agitado com correria ou suor para a diversão chegar até nós. Podíamos apenas ficar ali de boa conversando que isso já era um ótimo motivo para fortalecer os laços com os amigos mais próximos ou também aproveitar o momento para ir conversando com os outros colegas de classe que não tinha muita intimidade, adorava fazer isso, chegar em quem normalmente não conversava e falava um: “oi, vamos conversar?”.

Acredito que essas aulas de educação física me ajudaram a desenvolver um pouco nesse quesito de conversar e de socialização, de perguntar como estava um amigo e saber sobre a sua vida. Conhecendo melhor cada um dos meus colegas, posso dizer que isso era algo divertido e legal para mim, por isso guardo com todo carinho esses momentos.
