Exploring New Decks #3: Nether Zombie Death 2.0
Introduction
I'm back with my weekly post for Gods Unchained. This is my third post for exploring some new decks with Band Of The Wolf. Today I want to take a look at Nether Zombie death again. I did one previously two months ago I think but I wanted to add the new legendary Chira as well as take some feedback that was given from Kstreet.
Event 2: The Band's Final Stand
I made a mid range zombie death deck to help complete the event 2 The Band's final stand. For those that don't know I added the details with image from gu decks below. Basically there's two missions. One is for using one of the new crafted legendaries to play in 100k games. I don't think you have to win for this since it doesn't say win. The other quest is to collect all 6 crafted legendaries. Both of these quests will give a trinket each and by participating in at least one of them you will get a cardback. I just wanted to share this so everyone is aware. These are actually NFTs too so you could sell them if you don't care for the extra cosmetic feeling to your board when you play.
We are already almost halfway towards completing the event so don't sleep on those free trinkets. I feel like it's quite easy to at least get the one from playing and the special prize. I'm fortunate enough to have already collected all the crafted legendaries so I'm happy about that. I should be getting both the trinkets and the card back when this is event over!
My Deck & Analysis

I tried different versions of this deck but couldn't seem to put fallen legion in. I thought it would be great to have that double ally with Chira but it's just too slow to have in this deck even though it's easy to get 5 cards in the void with zombies. I took Kstreets advice and used skeletal hoplite. I actually liked using Skeletal Hoplite because it can block nature and magic god power of doing one damage to a creature. Skeletal Hoplite is also good to with Chira since it let's her proc her ally ability at 4 mana. I also added Raze Imp's to help proc ally early with Chira. I also added two ray of disintegrations instead of one from my previous post. In addition to that, I added two perseverance which is super good. It basically let's you remove board but also add zombies to your field while clearing enemy board. An awesome part is you can also use it to hit the enemy god for face damage which I also found as an interesting options. Chira is probably the MVP of this deck. As long as you can keep it alive, you can pretty much clear any of your opponent's monsters which can be super strong in the early game if they don't have any targeted spells to remove Chira.
The rest of the deck is the same as before. We have blight bomb for early board creature removal. This is probably one of the best free core cards to use in death and it's not even limited to using in zombie death. Void Banshee, Voracious Fiend, Wicked Fae are for early board control. Curse of Greed is another great card to remove enemy creatures early game. Cursed Obelisks to help snowball board pressure. This card can actually sometimes solo win games if opponent doesn't have anything to clear the whole board. Necrosceptor is pretty standard in a zombie death deck; I feel like it's gotten weaker thought because lately people have been teching in relic removal. Most likely because of the new super broken light relic that has 4 durability which I feel we will see a nerf in a few days. Decaying Rhino as mentioned before is just a card with great stats for 4 mana. Netherswarm Lord is for card draw and buffing the board. Vampiric Skull was to bring back the Cursed Obelisks and keep a strong board. Overseer was the finisher which could pretty much close the game most of the time if you were able to hold a board of creatures.
In conclusion, this deck I feel has gotten stronger and better with the Band of The Wolf Cards. It's definitely a fun to play deck! That's all for me this week. Double ally is cool. Wicked Fae + Chira is an amazing combo.
Zombies are the second (and the last) archetype I tried after BW was released. Yes, for sure, they became stronger. Chira / Perseverance are both great. I tried a deck I copied from @copperpitch 's video + some changes since I didn't have some cards. This is what I had:
Ok, I won and I lost but, for some reason, I am addicted to aggro Deception, so I returned to this archetype :D
And speaking about the topic, playing aggro Deception with Moonlighters and Gama against zombies is fun (if you are lucky):

Damn you like to play aggressive decks necronmics. And you have some older cards that I don't have. I see u got a lot of shadow and gold quality cards too very nice. 👀 Ya it's good to play steal deception against zombies cause you can steal good nether cards that help synergize your deck. To be honest I'm still waiting for dual colored cards. Or maybe even dual colored gods lol . Deception+death.
Necronomics is actually a balanced card. It is amazing but it can kill you as well :D The idea to have in in this deck comes from the mentioned video...
But I often have them in zombie decks.
Probably, it wasn't too smart to fuse all these cards but I had this fever of shininess for my aggro Deception collection last year (especially at the time when nobody knew how actually the upcoming thing would work). Ok, now I have some tiny bonuses. I can easily play shadow+ aggro Deception deck but I don't have shadow Shadows of Lethenon, Pietro, and Gama. And I have no intention to get them.
You mean cards that can't be played by only two domains? Would be interesting... Would be interesting if you can transmute, let's say, Death cards into Deception cards on some terms... But probably it is too much. :)
Copper always has good decks and interesting ideas hehe. It's good we have people like him to challenge the meta etc so the game isn't stale but some decks are just super annoying sometimes then everyone copies it :'). I remember the rolling thunder meta and they took a while to nerf that war meta; it was annoying.
ouch and now you can fuse for free for meteorite and above. Did you take advantage of this? I"m so lucky this happened xD then I decided to fuse everything like no tomorrow. Problem is it took hours probably. I did it over course of like two weeks just bit by bit.
I mean for the dual thing I was thinking like Magic the gathering. They have cards that have dual/multi color typing? Honestly I could see them making something similar to empower maybe a left or right thing in that empower spot and you can choose to make it a creature or relic. Like the card can turn into a creature or relic and maybe this creature can remove relic and then the relic has some other ability. To be honest I'm full of good ideas xD. Then you have more options and aren't forced to tech one card just to counter one deck you know.
I fused 2 shadow Moonlighters since I believe they will be regular in my decks. Would be great if they allowed fusing plain cards for free - then, I'd have a ton of work...
I previously fused 1 diamond Shakedown and 1 diamond Heroic Brawler and even Sneak a Peek (which was silly). Much work but you'll get superstars in your collection that will always shine 😁

I think that experience with crafting can lead that the GU team might apply it to MJ cards at some point. Just a thought. They might create a new set that you can only get by crafting MJ or Core cards.
Haha I wish plain cards but I think that's where they want to make some money. Ya I don't have that many diamonds. I think maybe two :P and the only good one is the nether swarmlord.

yup :P told you the update happening. Didn't expect they'd touch a core card though. All the other stuff isn't surprising lol but I didn't expect that moonlighter one.

I already had 2 golds and 11 meteorites, what I needed was to sell enough Core cards. Each sold Core card (like Carnage and Tavern Brawler, etc) gave me 3-4 meteorite Sneaky Bruiser. If you set a price really lower, bots buy immediately. It wasn't that hard to collect enough for a diamond.
wow was this diamond worth it :P. Show us your diamond legendaries :P . I never sold those core cards are they worth it after spending the gods token to forge theM?
I don't have diamond legendaries 😀 I have shadow ones - Marcella, Lokian, and Hierophant (unfortunately, bought by me; I will try hard to sell it when crypto is lower - I have a meteorite as well). So I have nothing to beat your amazing diamond Netherswarm Lord 🙂
My plan was to have a shadow+ deck to get more daily GODS - I planned this before they revealed how shiny cards work. Today, I would probably prefer avoiding all the expenses for shinization and would play a deck with meteorite cards with rare exceptions.
As the result, sometimes I play a full shadow+ deck. Like today's Guild Zoo:
I play it just because it works better for me than one with cats and Gama, or classical HRD. De-ranked from Diamond just because played and cooked/eat breakfast at the same time, with visiting twitch to see if they are showing me, and deciding if I should peek at the opponent's deck or not, etc :D
For sure! I just choose the most popular (luquid) Core cards and sell them all. The best cards of those archetypes which are trendy in Meta, of course.

I check every Rarity and sell. from time to time. You can also collect crypto as savings - but best to do this when crypto is the lowest to get the highest crypto prices for cards.
No sense to keep Core cards - they will slowly lose value, and some will be nerfed and will become very cheap. I decided I will make some shinies only for Deception so I don't pity to sell all the other.

Ooooo interesting idea I'll have to research what you're doing. Maybe I've been sleeping on free profits 👀. The diamond lord is lucky I pulled from pack . It makes sense they'll lose value since they printed infinitely 😵I wonder if they can consider capping it and introducing new core cards
I have been battling this archetype a lot this week, it is a very solid card, my Nature deck is having a hard time (if my card drawing is bad, I would always be in trouble).
