Superior Academy 1 MMA Gala Uppsala | Superior Challenge - MMA

The MMA Superior Academy Challenge Gala is a MMA league for upcoming talented fighters and gives them a platform to mold and showcase their talent to then participate all around Europe in higher categories. The arena was filled with supporters and spectators of different age groups and genders which goes to show how big of an event this was.

Let's take a look at the matches of the MMA tournament Superior Academy 1 on 14th September 2024 here at Fyrishov, Uppsala. The gala started at 16:00 and the first category B-Class match started around 16:30. This tournament had some exciting matchups with a pro match between Tobias Söderström and Resant Ashirov, at the same time two Thai boxers, Freddy Castro and Jonathan Larsson were about to take the MMA scene for the first time. Live Stream were also available for the whole event for viewers all around that couldn't visit.

The first Superior Academy #1 match in B-Class was between Sebasthian Viracca and Mohammad Hosseini, an entertaining yet a bit one sided contest ended with a win for Sebasthian Viracca through a unanimous decision.

The second Superior Academy #1 match was between two women MMA fighters, Michaela Lundholm representing Stockholm city and had a big crowd behind her, and on the other side Natalie Öhlund representing Umeå city and entered the ring very calm and collected. The match ended in a win for Michaela Lundholm through a unanimous decision.

The third Superior Academy #1 match was between Brahim Youssef representing Örebro and Samuel Ström presenting host city Uppsala. Brahim Youssef won the fight in what was a very tight match through a split decision.

Moving on to the last Superior Academy #1 match in category B-class which was between David Patti and Kevin Lundin. David Patti started off in an attacking mode whereas Kevin Lundin was very defensive, but in the last round, Kevin Lundin showed his aggressive and attacking side to make the match very tight. As David Patti had more impactful and effective punches, he won the fight through a unanimous decision.

That closed the Superior Academy #1 category B-class matches, yes they were amateurs but still very entertaining and incredibly tight matches between some fighters. The crowd backed up every punch, kick and takedown from the fighters as well which made the matches more enjoyable.
