It's A SUPER Caturday
It’s Saturday/Caturday and once again I’m playing with MidJourney. Of course, today’s theme is cats and I added a ‘SuperCat’ element to today’s images. I’ve not caught on to making a character more consistent in MJ but I had fun playing.
This one is just my super hero standing in a room.
One of the things I’ve learned to roll with is that often prompts will give me surprising outcomes that are nothing like what I had in mind.
I noticed the blue badge on the chest and thought it might be fun if that was a red maple leaf. So I did a remix and added the chest badge was to be a red maple leaf. What I got was the Egyptian like additions found in the header image. What was kind of neat about it going with an Egyptian theme was cats in ancient Egypt were often used as guard animals.
Then I thought it would be cool to have my super hero absorbing bullets being shot at it. The image came out more like it was catching light.
Every hero kitty needs some chill time so why not some flying surfboarding in the mountains?
Back to work for super kitty. This time its trying to leap a tall building or two while dodging nasty lightning.
Next I thought I would try to have our super hero stopping a car so kids could safely cross the street. I noticed how the hero figure developed feminine features with the mention of kids.
Same prompt used here as above but the reference to children is removed. The features immediately return to male features. No bias in the AI learning right?
Finally, it was time to let our hero head to the moon for some super fun.
I’m having fun learning what I can do with Midjourney and AI in general. It’s pretty much endless possibilities where I can go and results I can get. I’m steadily learning some control over outcomes in some cases. Others I end up with a diversity of outcomes.
One thing to keep him mind when creating character figures is MJ often has issues with appendages. Several of the images I got while working on creating the above images had multiple extra legs/paws and some even with the tail repeated or in pieces. I suspect that will be less often as the AI keeps developing.
