Cat's View of Time

Hobo here. I booted Shadows off the puter today. Well, I kept knocking her mouse on the floor when she tried to type until she got angry enough to go for a walk. It wont be a long walk, so I better get paws to keys and get busy.

Don’t tell Shadows but when she’s reading, I follow along. She looks at some crazy stuff. Lately she’s been reading stories on something called DreemPort that are fiction.

She called them short stories… don’t know in what world they are short. When it takes 3long posts to publish a story, they are long. You humans don’t make sense.

Speaking of long posts, I found her reading one the other day from @samantha1971 about Dreem Word of the Week. By the spelling, that must be my friend @dreemsteem. She’s my buddy who got me started on writing during Spunky Monkee. I told the kids lots of secrets about Shadows.

Anyways, I digress. This word of the week is supposed to be “time”. I hear Shadows say that to me a lot.

When I’m walking back and forth across her keyboard she’ll tell me “I don’t have time for this. STOP”. I don’t know why she wants me to stop. I’m just letting her know where I am.

Look, I’m a cat.

I know when it gets light outside and when it gets dark.

I know when I want her to lay down so I can go to bed. On her of course. I like a soft bed.

I know when I want her to be awake to watch over me while I sleep.

I know when I want her up so she can feed me. She’s mean though, she makes us wait until her coffee is brewing.

This time thing she talks about, doesn’t make any sense to me. Sometimes when I gently wake her up at night by putting my paw on her, (okay yes, my claws sometimes extend to press the point), she tells me it’s not time for her to be awake.

How am I supposed to know what this time thing is?

When she talks to people about meeting up, she asks what time. Really? Don’t they just know to be where they need to be? Are humans that unaware of each other?

If only cats could talk, we could save them all this time business and teach them to just feel the vibe to connect. I hear people talking in these things called Spaces or on something else called Zoom. They seem like time and lack of it have them all stressed out.

Really, chill out people. Just curl up, breath deep, let sleep relax you and feel the vibe. You’ll never need the stress of this time thing again. Want to meet up with someone? Just vibe together and you’ll know.

Now, if I could just get Shadows to feel the vibe and feed me when I’m ready instead of making me work so hard. OH speaking of work, Tramp is seriously grinding my gears lately with her loud talking. She needs to give it a rest. I’m pretty sure I don’t’ have time for it.
