Come for a Walk in St. James Park in London

A walk in St James Park

The days are getting warmer, the sun is out more often, the temperatures are getting a little bit higher. All of that means that we are ready to get out there for some more walks in the parks and explore some of the beautiful spots. Like St James Park in London by the Buckingham Palace.

This park is a must visit when you are in London. Not just for it's beauty but also obviously for all the history!

The park was literally the private gardens of British Royalty for centuries. You can just imagine how many of the Royal family members have walked in this park for centuries.

The Wild Life in the park

One of the biggest parts of this park and what makes it so beautiful and special is the huge lake that is home for many birds that just swim and also walk freely in the park. As per now they are used to the "city life" and to all the people that come and visit them every single day.

This is also a fun time of the year to go there, since the small birds start etching of their eggs and you get to see a lot of the babies.

When in the park, please be respectful of the animals and follow the instructions. Including the "do not feed" signs spread all over the park.

The majority of people ignore those. But remember that these are still wild animals and with the huge amount of people passing by every day, and feeding them all the sort of weird foods might be prejudicial and hurt the animals, that's why you shouldn't be feeding them.

Some cute squirrels

St. James Park is not the most popular place to meet and see this cute animals that everyone Loves.

But still, there will be a couple of squirrels running around and jumping from tree to tree. As I said, this is not the place where you can find the biggest number of squirrels, but you will find some.

This time I was very surprised with the big number of squirrels in there, I am not used to see as many as I saw this time.

It is always fun to see them running around.

If you want to capture some cute photos, get ready to click as fast as you can. Because they rarely stand still enough time to capture a decent photo.

Last but not the least, the tourists

Another fun thing to do when in the park is to appreciate and see how all the tourists behave. People watching is not as different as looking at all the other animal species in the park.

This time around I was joined by Estefania in this walk. She used to live in London, and was now back for some holidays, so in her tourist mode.

Because of that, obviously I also had to take some photos of her just enjoying the London park life, something that she doesn't have now where she lives in Spain.

In general the St. James Park is a great spot to chill and appreciate a break and nature in the heart of London.

But remember, and specially during the Spring and Summer time, this can be a very busy place and can get a little bit crowded. So if you are looking for a more peaceful park, this one is definitely not the best option.

On the other hand, if you don't mind the people, it is a great choice of a place to visit. And it is just next to the Buckingham Palace and close to so many other landmarks in London.
