A brew-tiful morning with 'BUT FIRST, COFFEE' cafe
Coffee. Is. Awesome. Period.
Nothing can plaster a smile on your face more than smelling freshly brewed coffee amidst stressful days. A brewtiful day, indeed.
But First, Coffee has been making a noise in the Philippines through the ever-famous social media platform, Facebook.
Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen X have been reforming every brand's creative designs, forcing most brands to redesign their logo and palette.
Aestheticism has marked its spot in the marketing industry, and this is one of the strengths of the currently famous cafe, But First, Coffee, commonly termed as BFC.
But can it live up to the hype it's been receiving? Hmmm, let's discuss it.
The interior design
This is the element that made BFC rise to the top! Their interior is qualified to what the teenagers are seeking in today's age, aesthetic. Perfectly matches their Instagram accounts.

BFC's interior design is mostly wooden in style & color. The combination of wide and woody colors creates an aesthetically pleasing visual. Its woody-designed floor, wooden countertops, and the white collection of furniture from long table to chairs made the whole cafe looks sleek and clean.

The cafe's famous interior design is in the picture below. The BFC's staple imprinted into a wooden wall, emphasizing the cafe's name, "But First, Coffee."
The customer service
Well, what can I say? The customer service is superb. The staff will greet you with smiling eyes and a soft "Good Morning!" They are very entertaining as well when I asked several questions because this is my first visit to their cafe.
I love their music taste as well!
They also offer free WiFi connection and free device charging. Guess who are their target customers? Students & WFH workers!
The food
We ordered 2 lasagnas, 1 blueberry cheesecake, and 2 iced coffees (1 white chocolate mocha & 1 cafe mocha with an additional 1 expresso shot) totaling Php 760.00 ($12.88).
To be honest, an hour before this, we already ate at Jollibee. But since I really wanna try this cafe, I still ordered a heavy meal - their creamy rolled lasagna to share with my mom, coz she was with me that time. But we ended up ordering 2 separate lasagnas as we really fell in love with its taste! My mom is a picky eater, so believe me when she says, "The food is good."
Since we really had a great time with their lasagna, we really wanna cleanse our palate with their blueberry cheesecake, which really tasted good, by the way.
I'm really sensitive to how a cheesecake tastes, and this, to tell you, is great aside from the crust. I just hate how the crust is falling every time I took a slice of the cake.
The coffee
Well, their coffee tastes like other cafes' coffee. There's nothing special with it, but it's bearable, especially for its price.
The menu
I apologize as I forgot to capture the interior and the menu. I was so excited to eat that time that it occupied my time, lmao. Pictures below are the photos of their menu. Take a look!

Very delicious taste, big enough to have after drinks and food smells of coffee aroma, I also like the mixture of coffee aroma in several types of food and drinks.
Coffee has really made a mark on our lives, as if it flows with our blood, haha. In the international scene, what coffeeshop would you recommend?
Looks like a nice place. I like the simple and clean interior design. The cheesecake sounds good other than the crust that falls apart.
You wouldn't believe it when I say that the photo of their interior design is really what my eyes saw upon visiting! It was that nice, really wanna go back there. But yeah, the cheesecake needs some reassessment by the management :<<
One word. Aestheitcally pleasing. Ahww two words. Beautiful interior for a coffee shop.
Indeed! Not gonna lie, design is one of my top priority when finding a cafe <33
This place looks awesome, and of course freelancers, or Hivers looking for a good coffee and wifi, thanks for sharing.
Freelancers are really rampant now in the Ph. Their place on the market as consumers is really one of the targets of businesses like this, a cafe. Thanks for reading as well!
I like the nice clean minimalist look of the place, and the food looks awesome too. That's the tricky thing about cheesecake... Sometimes just one little fault can ruin it completely.
It's a great addition to the Philippines though:)
It was really a great experience in the cafe, especially with how the staff treats their customers. But I was just really disappointed on the cheesecake's crust T^T
Glad you considered it as one of a great addition to the Ph. They have several branches across the country if you've found yourself visiting the Philippines <333
Hmm, that's really great to know. I lived there for 7 years, but I'm not back in the UK. I have no plans at the moment to visit, but if I ever do, then I'll be sure to check out one of the branches:)
Love how minimal and clean it looks
Same! How I wish they'll have a larger cafe <33
