You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I hate confrontation because so few people want to work on themselves and no amount of trying to convince someone will ever convince them. So “what’s the point?” is how I feel most of the time.

I am not complacent though. When you constantly improve and do bigger and better things, eventually you start to shift things without even trying

You're in a perfect place. Japan and most Asians don't like confrontation too. 😀

Yes, it's one of the reasons I'm here. My mind gets so full of noise when I have to constantly debate my points to people who aren't willing to listen. I'd rather only talk about those topics with people who actually want to learn and exchange ideas.

I never want to change people's mind. If I made them think from another perspective, I win. If I didn't, there was probably no hope in that conversation.

I want to DO things that make people rethink their approach, no SAY just things. And I am not even concerned with winning any more unless it's a friendly competition.

I should really try harder to formulate grammatically correct sentence though as a native English speaker hahaha. I just wrote two long messages to uhhhh.... try to convince people of something.... hahahhaa, so I guess my brain is a little exhausted.

absolutely agreed, you try to and some people can literally fight you for trying to help them and look at you as an enemy so I tend to share your views on this
