Re-Zero Season 3 Cour 1... A total success in my books.

Re zero season 3 cour 1 just finished last week and I have just one word to use describe it...

Wonderful!!! WONDERFUL!!! WONDERFUL!!!

From the first perfectly gory episode which nearly broke the internet to the last episode that gave me goosebumps and pumped me up for the next cour by February and everything in between it was all just wonderful.

Plot.

Subaru has conquered 2 of the 3 great magic beasts and has fully accomplished himself as Emilia's knight. Yet, he has another quest as Rem's still unconscious with no clue as to how to get her name back.
Its been a year now and Anastasia invites Subaru and Emilia to the Watergate City of Priestella in the promise of showing them a magic crystal that could help revive Puck. After some deliberation, they decide to go and then the Witches Cult attacks.

Now I know that I recently just started this anime, but the two weeks that I had to wait for thias season 3 was one of the most gruesome two weeks of this year, and the first episode of ninety minutes which opened this season was just wonderful.
Season 3 was split into two cours; The Attack arc and The Counter attack Arc. The attack arc had just finished and with the excitement in my body I just had to come write a review.

This cour introduced us to the four sin archbishops of the witches cult. Also gave us a peek at the powers of them and just how crazy they are.

A lot of things happened, from the fights and threats, regardless it was clear that this was just a buildup cour.
Introduction of all the characters which would partake in the act which airs on February.

Regardless, apart from the opening episode, there are other instances which moved me.
For one, Subaru's speech...

I'd have to say, I didn't expect this to move me so much. The only anime speech that I've listened that I rank higher than this os Erwin's speech.
The speech really turned around the situation and announced that the counterattack was coming.

The other part that I loved was the ending of episode 58, Subaru's and Reinhard's "bursting in to save the day" moment.
It was comical yet still very cool.

There are other numerous aspects of this cour but I'd like to minimize the spoilers as much as possible.

I can say one thing though. This cour was meant to easily introduce the characters, show their power and destruction then build up suspense for the counterattack arc and it did that wonderfully.
For that I give it an 8/10 stars and I lean in anticipation for February when I can see more of the Re-Zero world.
