The Forgotten Song of the Earth

The wind's remnants linger
among towering stones
no one hears
no one remembers
Its echo fades
washed away by dust
leaving traces in the forest
that once embraced the morning
in silence

The quiet trees have long whispered
their roots drawing in
the earth's secrets
Yet night descends
draping the sky in black
covering stars
with heavy veils
Silence fills the void
where moonlight used to shimmer

Now I stand on this aging earth
gazing at a bruised horizon
a sky yearning for light
lost behind the mist of greed
The forest that once sang
now stands
like a shadow
lost in solitude

The birds have long ceased
their calls
breaking the stillness of night
Tall walls rise
separating us from the nature
we once called home
Words crumble
like dust on cracked soil

Can we return
to sow hope in this wounded land
or has it all faded away
beneath the shadows
of an ego that binds
at the end of a narrowing path

From the ruins of cities and trees
understanding emerges too late
a call drowned in the din
about life that slowly erodes
about us forgetting
the rhythm of the universe
that once taught us to be still
