Orville Peck & Beck - Death Valley High

The South African musician Daniel Pitout, also known as Orville Peck who never appears in public without a mask, and Beck, the American musician, are acquaintances. I assume they know each other through the SubPop label, as they both recorded for them for a while. Their paths crossed again this year when Orville released his third album, Stampede, at the beginning of August.
"Dead Valley High" is a collaborative song and the promotional single from that album. It's not particularly surprising, but it fits well with the summer heat.

Goldie Boutilier - The Angel And The Saint

Goldie Boutillier is a Canadian singer, songwriter, model, and DJ. She began her music career in 2010 and performs as a DJ under the alias Goldilox. In 2020, she formed an all-female backing band and now performs under her own name. Her song 'The Angel And The Saint' provides a preview of the upcoming Actress EP, showcasing her signature beats and lyrics inspired by the late sixties.
Is she a future star?

BALTHVS - Ojos Verdes

BALTHVS is a trio from Bogotá, Colombia. They have been active since 2020 but were unknown to me until now. They are best known for their psychedelic music combined with funk, indie, surf rock, and Middle Eastern influences. They have released over thirty singles and three albums to date. Their new fourth album Harvest has been released today.
I've chosen a KEXP radio clip from a month ago to showcase it, which I think is great.

Fat Dog - Wither

Fat Dog is a new band from London, UK. They have been playing together for just over a year and have garnered attention from both music critics and listeners with their energetic live shows. They have already released two singles, and their debut album, WOOF, is set to be released in September. Their music is a fast and fun mix of electro-punk, rock'n'roll, industrial pop, and rave euphoria. The lead single for their debut album is the song Wither.

Nilüfer Yanya - Call It Love

I've been following the London-based musician Nilüfer Yanya for quite some time, almost since her beginnings in 2014. Her dreamy and nostalgic, even sentimental, dream-pop music and constant self-questioning always come in handy during those hot summers when I retreat to the shade.
"Call It Love" is the first single from new album "My Method Actor," which is fourth album in a row.

Daedelus - Pulling Out the Stops

Alfred Darlington, also known as Daedelus, is an intriguing and charismatic personality from Rhode Island. He has been creating electronic music and what he refers to as "frequency expansive" music for over twenty years. He recently released the EP "Way Out!" from which this song is taken. The music features captivating synthetic harmonies that are at times reminiscent of a church organ.

ISMATIC GURU - IV

Buffalo, New York-based duo Ismatic Guru has been performing since 2021 and has released four EPs to date. Their latest EP, titled 'IV', was released last week. The music is characterized by energetic vocals, fast guitar riffs, organ interludes, and simple drums. The short, melodic songs ensure that there's never a dull moment in the full EP, which lasts just over six minutes.

Hannah Mohan - Heaven and Drugs

Hannah Mohan, from Northampton, Massachusetts, has been playing music since she was a young girl. Although she's a new name to me, she has been the lead singer and songwriter of the indie-pop band And The Kids for over a decade. In addition to her music, she is also a massage therapist, herbalist, actress, visual artist and has a passion for senior citizens, children, and dogs. After taking a break for a few years, she released her first solo album, 'Time Is A Walnut,' last week.
Heaven And Drugs is a song from that album, and I believe she has a lot more to say.
