Here's my entry to the Let's Make a Collage - A Contest for All Creatives on Hive - Round 214 - 101 HIVE in the Prize Pool!
This collage is for everyone, but most of all for Europeans, because today is the European Parliament elections, and 373 million people are voting for 720 MEPs. Many people claim that this election is a historic one (but they claim that for every election ever) and that every vote counts.
I don't know what difference my vote can make; they do not know about DPOS (Decentralised Power Of Stake) and witnesses, as in the Hive, everything takes place at the level of nation-states.
The European stars may be tears of happiness for someone or tears of sadness at the disappearance of the previous world for someone else.
Our choices in this election will shape our future for the next few years. It's a responsibility we all share.

The creation process
I created the collage using Photoshop.
First, I used the pieces of the base image to create a collage background, to which I then added the face elements in layers.

That's a good one, @seckorama. That tree caught my eye (the shadows) from the first, but what you made of it...wow!
As for the elections: Will the European elections be a harbinger for U. S. elections? We truly are one world, aren't we? Restlessness and disquiet driving people toward change. Do they understand what they are choosing, or do they just want something different?
As a student of history (that was my undergraduate major) I take the long view. And yet, I feel the urgency of the moment. I guess we'll see where this disquiet takes all of us.
To try to answer (now that it is more or less clear what has happened).
I don't know if the European elections are a harbinger of the American elections. Still, I am sure that people (both here and in America) have had enough of what the decision-makers (the elected) are throwing at them. But I am also not sure that people know what they are deciding.
Otherwise, nothing has changed. It seems Ursula still firmly controls the majority. This means that the radicalization of the poles (left and right) will continue even stronger, and I'm not sure that's a good thing.
