Splinterlands Brawls

I am a member of the "THGaming Brawlers" guild in Splinterlands and I believe guild brawls are very important in this amazing blockchain-based game. THGaming Brawlers participate in Tier 3 brawls usually placing in the top 5 with a few first place Brawl wins in Tier 3 in the past.

For us, as members of the THGaming Brawlers, guild brawls are not just exciting, but they also play a crucial role in the growth and development of our guild. These battles provide an opportunity for us to come together and test our skills against other guilds, which not only helps us improve our own skills, but also allows us to learn from other players and strategies.

Moreover, guild brawls are a great way to build a sense of community within the game. As a member of the THGaming Brawlers, I can confidently say that guild brawls have brought us closer together as a team, making our gaming experience much more enjoyable.

Additionally, guild brawls offer rewards for the guild as a whole, including valuable Gladiator cards and SPS. This not only incentivizes players to participate, but also helps to build a stronger, more successful guild. As part of the THGaming Brawlers guild, we are motivated to do our best in each guild brawl to reap the rewards and strengthen our guild further.

In conclusion, as a member of the THGaming Brawlers guild, I would like to invite you to join our guild, currently we have one free space available. We also have lower brawl tier THGaming 1 and THGaming 2 with lots of spaces available.

Overall Brawl Performance

In this brawl we were up against some pretty tough competition, we were the third lowest rated team from the top so finishing at number five out of ten was not a bad finish coming ahead of PWND Monsters rated at #90 and Phoenix Trouble rated at #78. Our main problem seems to be filling the frays, we had fielded 112 battles compared to 137 battles for the guilds that took top 3 spots in this brawl. Gladiators being a top 100 guild at #74 did come ahead of us in the 4th place this time and fielding 109 battles three less than us, but their performance was better with seventy wins and thirty nine losses compared to our sixty four wins and forty eight losses.

My Brawl Performance

In this brawl I have achieved a record of five wins and three losses which placed me fourth in THGaming Brawlers guild standings for the brawl. There were three other players with a record of six wins in this brawl for our guild so that is a fairly good performance. Lets look at the details of the battles next.

BATTLES

Battle 1: WON

image.png

In this battle the ruleset was Melee monsters only, if I had Mylor it would have been my first choice of a summoner as Earth splinter was available. Since I don't have that summoner I went with Kelya and a sneak strategy with two monster doing sneak attack: Pelacor Deceiver and Ureus. I placed a trample tank in the front to take advantage of the Stampede ruleset. In the back I placed two meat shields to protect from sneak and opportunity attacks.

It turned out that my opponent also went with Kelya as a blue team summoner and same meat shields in the back and the same tank but instead went with an opportunity gladiator card. It turned out that my sneak strategy was way more effective so I took a win in the first battle.

Battle 2: LOST

image.png

For this battle my strategy was to place a high health taunt monster in the back and snipe protection monster in the second position due to the Target Practice ruleset, I went with a couple monster that had a double strike ability to produce more damage. This was a close battle, but my opponent chose a superior strategy for this ruleset so I came away with my first loss in this brawl.

Battle 3: LOST

image.png
Here I was trying to take advantage of increased magic output and sneak and opportunity strategy. Unfortunately this is the case where I should have gone with a single strategy and not spread out the damage. My opponent did just that and went with a pure sneak strategy and won this battle.

Battle 4: WON

image.png
With lost Legendary monsters and no boost from the summoner I decided to go with a strong Water team. And two opportunity monsters. This bet definitely paid off as I was able to quickly take out two of his sneak attackers and the rest for just a matter of time before my team finished the remaining monsters on the opposing team.

Battle 5: WON

image.png

With a sneak ruleset and no heal I decided to go with a high speed dragon / life team. I put a thorns protection monster in the back in case they go all out sneak and a great small mana tank in the front. This setup worked really well even against a fearsome monster like Quora that he decided to bring to the table.

Battle 6: WON

https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_FvQdpOYNhlk53z3922KO&ref=seattlea

image.png
My strategy here was to use taunt monster to give time to my other high speed attackers to do damage to enemy team. The opponent team also happened to be not fully maxed out for the Gold League brawl so this was an easy victory.

Battle 7: LOST

https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_Jfji0VaKbJkc5IqG6yDs&ref=seattlea

image.png
With back to basics and lost legendary ruleset and only fire available this was a hard one to come up with a relatively high mana team. I don't have Jacek so I went with a melee summoner and my team proved to be inferior to the opponent.

image.png

Battle 8: WON

https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_E8BMMmbXr0f45wl8jsdK&ref=seattlea

image.png

Here the strategy was to use strong magic attack at the same time reduce opponent's melee attack by using Desintegrator. The opponent chose a ranged team which was not super efficient for the task so another win.

Overall decent brawl performance, hoping to do better next time.

Excellent strategy there! THGaming 1 and THGaming 2 were in the same brawl in the last round, with THG2 coming 3rd and THG1 coming 4th. Again we needed people to fill the brawl Freys there, but overall we did quite well.
