BATTLE MAGE SECRETS - RULESET: Silenced Summoners Weekly Challenge!
Greetings, fellow Splinterlands strategists! Today, I want to dive deep into a specific ruleset that presents a unique challenge: the silence of summoners. In these battles, where the orders from summoners are muted, I've developed a strategy that prioritizes raw power and synergy among my monsters. Join me as I unravel the intricacies of this approach, revealing how I utilize speed, health, damage, the Martyr ability, taunt, and resurrect to orchestrate victory.
RULESET: Silenced Summoners
Description:
Summoners do not give any buffs/debuffs or grant/use abilities.
Use your lowest cost and highest level summoner within this ruleset.
The Strategy
The Ruleset: Silence of Summoners
In battles where summoners are silenced, the absence of summoner abilities adds an interesting layer of complexity. It means that the monsters you deploy must be self-sufficient and capable of wielding their power without external support. This is where my strategy comes into play.
Prioritizing Monster Specifications
My first step in crafting a summoner-silenced team is to prioritize the monster's individual specifications: speed, health, and damage. These three attributes become the cornerstones of my strategy, as they directly influence a monster's effectiveness on the battlefield.
Speed determines when a monster takes its turn, potentially allowing it to strike first or delay its action strategically. Health determines a monster's survivability, allowing it to withstand enemy attacks. Damage, of course, defines the firepower a monster brings to the fight.
Synergy: The Martyr and Taunt Combo
One of the key synergies I exploit in this ruleset is the combination of the Martyr ability and the taunt ability. Martyr allows a monster to grant stat boosts to an adjacent ally upon its death, and taunt forces enemies to target that monster.
By placing a high-damage, high-health monster with the Martyr ability next to a lower health monster with taunt, I create a powerful duo. The taunt monster acts as a shield, diverting enemy attacks away from my team, while the Martyr monster, upon its demise, transfers its boosted stats to the adjacent ally, potentially turning a weaker monster into a juggernaut.
Resurrection: Doubling Down on Power
To take this synergy a step further, I incorporate resurrect abilities into my lineup. In this particular strategy, I choose Iziar for his high health and Martyr ability and Adelade Brightwing for her resurrect ability.
Iziar's high health makes him an excellent candidate for the Martyr role, as he can absorb significant damage before passing on his boosted stats. When paired with a monster that has the taunt ability, he becomes a formidable tank that can delay the enemy while enhancing the adjacent ally.
Adelade Brightwing's resurrect ability is the linchpin of my strategy. It allows me to resurrect a fallen Martyr monster, essentially doubling the stat boosts and creating an even more powerful force. This strategic combination of abilities amplifies the effectiveness of my lineup and makes each monster's presence on the battlefield count.
The Summoner
General Sloan is a Chaos Legion set summoner for Life splinter. In this silenced summoners ruleset it is good to play due to his relatively low mana, but in this case we have unlimited mana, so General Sloan is a great choice :)
1st Slot - Tank
Arkemis the Bear is a neutral common Promo card. It provides shield to the whole team as well as comes with important halving, forcefield and enrage abilities. It also has great specs of four melee attack, four speed and twelve mana.
2nd Slot - Triage Monster
Djinn Renova is an epic life rewards card that has four magic attack, three speed, six health and important strengthen and triage abilities.
3rd Slot - Speed Control Monster
Time Mage is a fast monster even at level 1 with 4 speed and it delivers magic damage, but most importantly it slows the whole opponent's team down in order to give the friendly team an opportunity to strike first and to make the opponent team miss more when they attack the friendly team. At 4 mana cost this great monster can be also used in the little leagues ruleset
4th Slot - Resurrect Monster
Adelade Brightwing is a legendary chaos legion core set monster that is important in this ruleset due to her resurrect, and swiftness abilites.
5th Slot -Martyr Monster
Iziar is a key monster for this play due to his high health and mortar ability.
6th Slot - Damage Dealer Monster
Pelacor Arbalest is one of the primary damage dealers in this play, double strike ability combined with three ranged damage on each strike is nothing to sneeze at.
THE BATTLE
My opponent brought a fearsome roster of monsters to the battle, let's see how my all modern crew fairs in this battle...
In round one my opponent managed to take out Iziar twice! We were able to take out their tank once as well. Let's see how round two goes...
In round two we managed to take out their tank one more time, they managed to land poison on one of our primary damage dealers, that is worrisome. It is a good thing their Kralus cannot heal itself in this ruleset.
In round two we lost one of our primary damage dealers and took out their Kralus.
In round four we took out one more monster on their side and lost our tank. This is very close...
In round five we lost two monsters and they lost only one. Now it comes down to who strikes first. We are both at four speed, but the magic should go first and that would be the win...
