Amazing Splinterlands POSH Contest Experience 1500 SPS 13 Rebellion Packs!
Let me say right off that I usually never win anything in any of the contests I took part of in the past. But about two weeks ago, I decided to participate in a collaborative contest between Splinterlands and POSH. The contest aimed to encourage players to share Splinterlands-related content on Reddit, exposing more people to the vibrant Hive ecosystem and rewarding participants for their efforts. Little did I know, this experience would turn into one of the most memorable moments in my Splinterlands journey.
Special thanks to @acidyo for organizing this contest and posting about it so that I saw it.
The Contest Details
The rules were straightforward and beginner-friendly:
Log in to hiveposh.com and link your Reddit account.
Share interesting Splinterlands posts on Reddit, including your own or others’ posts, with a focus on the r/Splinterlands subreddit or related communities.
Earn points for registrations and successful shares. The more points you accumulated, the better your chances of winning from the 50 Rebellion packs and 5,000 SPS prize pool. Prize pool turned out the be even larger due to some confusion with who was sharing and where.
Participants could share one post per day for six days, with a chance to gain extra points for posting outside r/Splinterlands—provided subreddit rules were respected. It was simple, community-driven, and an excellent way to bring attention to Splinterlands and Hive.

Why I Joined
I’ve always been passionate about Splinterlands and recently became more aware of its integration with the Hive blockchain. This contest presented a dual opportunity: to promote the game and Hive while competing for prizes. As someone who loves engaging with both the Splinterlands community and broader Web3 spaces, I thought, “Why not?” Besides, the chance to win packs of the new Rebellion set and SPS tokens was too good to pass up.
So I dusted off my four years old Reddit account where I went dormant years ago and shared a few of my Splinterlands posts that I did on HIVE.
The Strategy That Worked
To maximize my odds, I focused on picking my most recent and best Splinterlands posts to share on Reddit. I didn’t want to spam; instead, I sought posts that offered value—guides, strategies, or battle stories. This approach seemed to resonate with Redditors.
The Unbelievable Results
When the winners were announced, I was floored. I didn’t take first place, but I managed to secure third—earning a jaw-dropping 1,500 SPS tokens and 13 Rebellion packs! This was the largest prize I’ve ever won in any contest, far exceeding my expectations.
I went ahead and staked 1,500 SPS to increase my battle rewards and to earn passive yield on SPS staking.
To put it into perspective, 1,500 SPS is a significant boost for staking or gameplay, and 13 Rebellion packs open up so many possibilities for expanding my collection. The thrill of winning was amplified by knowing my contributions had helped spread awareness of Splinterlands.
Spread out below are the results of me opening thirteen Rebellion packs with both potions applied:
Why This Contest Stands Out
Community-Driven: The collaboration between POSH and Splinterlands emphasized building the community by encouraging Reddit activity. It wasn’t just about prizes—it was about creating a ripple effect of engagement.
Accessible for Everyone: The rules were inclusive, allowing both new and seasoned players to participate. Whether you were registering for the first time or already an active Redditor, everyone had a fair shot.
Massive Rewards: The prize pool was incredibly generous, with a total of 100 packs and 8,900 SPS distributed among participants. Even those who didn’t rank high still walked away with something.
Lessons Learned
Consistency Pays Off: Sharing daily and sticking to the contest’s guidelines significantly increased my chances of winning.
Quality Over Quantity: Sharing meaningful content—not just any post—garnered more engagement and points.
A Call to Action
If you’re a Splinterlands player and haven’t explored the Hive ecosystem or Reddit as a platform to share your experiences, contests like these are the perfect gateway. Not only do they offer incredible rewards, but they also strengthen the community and showcase the potential of blockchain gaming to a wider audience.
This contest was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of collaboration and creativity. I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and the prizes, and I’m excited to reinvest my winnings into the game and community that made this all possible.
I believe they mentioned that there would be more contests like this in the future in fact if @acidyo sees this he might correct me to clarify if one is going on now in the comments below.
