Life is a Moody Beach - Monomad Challenge
Hail to the Hive!
It does feel like I have been in #hive hibernation again but this week I have broken free of the contemptible night shift horror and fled to the Cornish coast for a breath of fresh sea air.
Cornwall is a stunningly beautiful place and it doesn’t really feel English and the Cornish don’t consider themselves English either, and when you’re here you can understand why. You can kinda feel it.
As I walk down the beach in the blustery fresh breeze I smile and remember that my professional diving career started here. This was where I did my Divemaster training before becoming an instructor.
Being back, even briefly, is nice. Memories flood back, my mind then drifts to possibilities in the future. I’m hoping this night shift chapter of my life is coming to an end soon. Time to start living again as night shift life, although good for earning and saving, is not much of a life.
Also as I stroll along this lovely sea frontage I’m smiling in the knowledge that I finally have something worthwhile to capture, create and share on hive.
The beach and rock faces were screaming for a little monomad attention and so I duly oblige.
It’s nice to get back on the blockchain. Apologies for my slackness but as much as I try the night shift crushes inspiration and feels like an almost vampiric existence.
But anyone who’s followed my posts before knows…..
The place was very beautiful.
Yes its stunning. Hard to believe this is in England eh? I do love Cornwall
Lovely photos and the sand looks quite smooth. I remember that this beach was the first place where you explained the tidal change to me, it's not something that we have in Jamaica.
There was an article recently, I forgot the location, where a delivery guy was not warned about how fast the tide changes, and he was stuck with his van there for a long time.
I like that the rocks are fairly smooth, not as sharp and dangerous as the ones on the seafront where we lived in the Philippines.
I hope that I'll be able to come along if we go back to this beach on this trip:)
Oh @scubahead friend... So you've been working nights and being a "kind of vampire"! haaa haaa haaa :))
In any case, it's good that you're back!... And what a way to come back, damn it!... It's a wonderful view of the beach shore, masterfully captured vertically and edited in black and white with skill and good taste!... Truly something wonderful and rarely seen done by a vampire diver photographer! :))... A round of applause for you and these majestic photos!

Awww as always you flatter me 😌. It’s nice to be somewhere where I can take some nice shots. Been out today and got some more great materials. I must make an effort to keep myself on the blockchain

I love it when BW is worked in this way. I am afraid you did some work on texture, or am I wrong?
