Farewell Coffee Morning Thoughts
Hail to the Hive!
On the final day of our eleven day mini break to Negril I was taking my morning coffee in the restaurant facing the ocean. It was me alone for a few hours with just the sound of the ocean lapping the cliffs for company. It was self service refills, which unusually was strangely charged by the cup so someone must have been watching from somewhere.
I had enjoyed the cliff front vibes by the ocean and was more than a little sad it was coming to an end. Beautiful locations full of potential and possibilities.
As I sat sipping coffee alone my mind drifting back to memories of my years working as a scuba instructor here and how I had felt about Jamaica and traveling at that time. Then thinking about the present and the immediate future and the possible plans that may lay ahead.
I am feeling my old wanderlust return and as much as I probably wouldn’t want to move back to Jamaica, having worked here before for many years, I do feel a pull towards some more exploration and travel. Maybe even back into diving…
Another re-fill me thinks. Then I continue to roll through ideas and possible destinations. As much as I loved and do enjoy living aboard narrowboats on the UK canals I have to be honest, it would not be my first choice now that I have had the opportunity to get away again and had time to reflect. It is still a possibility though so I’m not ruling it out.
In much the same way as the drone can give a totally different perspective on your immediate surroundings, removing yourself from the usual influences and intrusions can help with giving you a different perspective on your life. It’s a rare thing to have so much personal time to be able to clear the fog of daily intrusions from the mind and really have time to think long and hard.
I am grateful for this break after 20 months back in the UK as it has served as a reminder of my motivations in the past and given me pause for thought about possible options for the future.
So I will raise a cup of liquid black inspiration as I continue my musings and wonder what lies ahead in the coming year. Sometimes all you need to do is go through the door to see what’s on the other side.

Finding time to think and reflect on things can be very important. Especially during times of transition in our lives. Good luck in the future, whatever it brings.
Cheers @leaky20 ! Yup its nice to have ample time to digest these thoughts before having to make any decisions.
@scubahead,
From awesome photos... to that drone, to the beautiful surroundings. Your vibe is so in tune, with all of us trying to decide just what to do, and how to do it. But your mindset certainly is understandable; it was hard to concentrate on your post though, with those breathtaking surroundings lol. I appreciate you posting in my community by the way... I hope you are able to come to some endpoint on what you want to do. Have a good day regardless, my friend.

~ hmmm, agreed! And I'll join you and raise a cup of liquid black inspiration to that too!
Yup feels like a crossroads for sure. It’ll be fine 😁
I love this place, like castle and holiday place, perfect. You are lucky to have a cup of coffee in there 🌸
i forgot to mention in the post that the coffee wasnuas amazing as the setting but the setting made up for it. If they did great coffee as well then it would indeed have been a paradise
Ohh I see. Bad coffe like a hell dskjfkdfd😁
Wasn’t bad just not very good 😊
Ohhh that's nice :)
If it had been really bad I wouldn’t have kept refilling but it did the job so I got fueled up
Bon appetit🌸
