Coastal India - Andaman Islands -Monomad Challenge
Hail to the Hive!
India is full of contrasts and on this visit I have been thrust into either island bliss or traffic madness in the same day. Today I’m sharing bliss.
There has been a lot of diversity in general and the coast is no exception. The coast on Indias islands is so different to its mainland seafront.
These first images are from a small island off of Port Blair in the Andaman Islands, which are closer to Thailand than India but thats another story. I saw the fallen tree all bleached and was like hell yeah photo time. No less than a few mins later people were wanting to climb on it as I was taking photos of it. Hmmm nobody even gave it a second look for the half hour i was scoping it out, but as soon as I take some photos of it they are all over it. Bloody typical. Just by looking at something we affect it eh.
And now these are from havelock Island on one of the resorts we visited.
This is my favorite of the bunch below. I just like it and don’t really know why but it speaks to me. It captures that timeless island seafront, could be from any timeline.
And then its different again. Mangroves are cool.
Kind of reminds me of the creepy forest’fangorn’ in Lord of the rings.
And then we find these guys doing scuba try dives in the shallows. Looks like a zoo, i would not be conducting lessons in such a manner. Too many people.
But I can’t loe, they got a great place for it so fair play to them!
Awesome pic
Thanks @alexcocopro very kind of you to say so. Was a great setting though so very easy to capture

Indeed, I like your special timeless shot. Can indeed be from any time since invention of photography.
