Grow more plants

(Edited)

The days are becoming hotter and the dryness is also affecting the crops and the environment. It won't be long before the wells dry up. As it is, wild animals have started to stray into the villages, and an increasing number of farm animals and humans being killed are being reported.

Climate change is real and I wonder how long it will take for people to start taking action. I hope that people will use social media to spread the message of 'GO GREEN' instead of using it to just post silly reels.

Look around you. Do you see green leaves everywhere? Then you are lucky. If not, then start to plant saplings either in your house or in a nearby park. Participate in a local 'GO GREEN' movement and make sure you do your bit to preserve the planet.

The pictures are from a local mall where they sold a large number of saplings to interested customers. More such establishments should conduct such plant fairs so that people are inspired to buy saplings and grow them. More green means more fresh air and more organic local produce. The more organic food you eat, the less ill you will be.

Can you write a blog about how many plants you grow in your place or if you plan to do so? If you are willing to write such a blog, it will be very welcome. Paste the link to the blog under this blog as a comment and I shall share and encourage it. The blog will also get recognition from those who encourage quality content on Hive. Please include original pictures, and real-time accounts of your gardening and share this blog so that it will reach many more and perhaps encourage at least one person.

The potted plants that you see in the picture should be watered daily and can be transferred to garden soil after a few weeks of purchase. Care should be taken to remove weeds and pests like flies and other bees should be dealt with otherwise they will soon be destroyed especially by the leaf-eating worms and sometimes ants.

Every house should have a Tulsi( Holy Basil) plant because it not only purifies the environment but also because it has medicinal value. Tulsi plants can be easily got because most houses will have spare saplings or seeds otherwise they can be bought from Amazon etc. Water boiled with holy basil leaves can help reduce cough, cold, and cramps as well.

If you have a large enough backyard, you can plant banana saplings if your climatic condition allows it. Bananas have various uses. The fruit is delicious and rich in potassium. The leaves can be used as a plate or for cooking in steam. The stem is rich in fiber and can be used to make curry. Some countries also use the banana leaf to produce food color.

Are you a farmer in the making? Do write about it and link it here in the comment section.

Remember - more plants mean a better planet for our children

Climate change is real and every step taken to stop it is valuable. I have a lot of plants and I also promote it, but now we all need to come together and promote nature on a larger scale.
