Maintaining Balanced Diet is Easier to adopt

Keeping our bodies in shape is an essential factor in maintaining a healthy body as it does not only boost our confidence in our looks but also allow us to reduce the risk of various health issues that comes when a person was either too underweight or too overweight for their age. That is why it is necessary for us to take measures in order to keep ourselves in shape which can be done either by maintaining a balanced diet and exercise regularly or even the combination of both which is something that I applied for myself in the last 11/2 years or so. But if I were to ask what is the better method between this two, I would say that maintaining a balanced diet was the better method which I will elaborate in this post.


It might seem odd, coming from me to say that maintaining a balanced is the better option compared to doing regular exercise as I have included to some of my previous post how going to gym was part of my regular activities and I would say that exercise is the better choice if the goal is to keep the body in shape and build a strong body but if the goal it to simply maintain a good shape, going with a diet will do the work without the any extra effort as you will just limit the amount of the food you eat and make sure that the food have the right amount of nutrients that your body needs. It also makes it possible for people that do not have the money or access to go to the gym to still maintain their shape by just going with a diet. You might say that it was just an excuse cause even without going to the gym people can still exercise in their home but we need to take note that exercise takes time and even for those people that have all the money in the world, would still find it hard to exercise due to the lack of time. But with maintaining a proper diet, it is possible to save both money and time so in a sense, this is also something that can adopted by everyone easier than exercise. Also, by simply going to a diet, you can potentially reduce the risk of getting disease such as by reducing our intake on products with sugar, not only we avoid gaining weight but also reduce the risk of Diabetes.

At the same time, a person that is underweight will not be able to get his shape to normal by exercising and can only be achieved once he eat the necessary amount of food that his body needs while it would take far more time for overweight people to burn the excess fats in their body through exercise if their food habit remains the same as before they could burn their body fats, they need to first burn the calories from the food they eat. For example, a cup of rice contains around 220 calories and would take 23 minutes of biking or jogging to burn so if a person eats 6 cups or rice per day, he would need to jog for at least 2.3 hours just to burn those calories and only after that he can start to burn the fats in his body. It is also another reason why I limit my self to only eating 11/2 cup of rise which I mention on this post.



At the end of the day, the combination of diet and exercise still remains to be the most effective way to keep our body in shape and to reap all the benefits of having a healthy body. But given that not everyone has the money or time to spare to go exercise, it would not hurt to at least practice eating balanced meal to help in maintaining normal weight. Not only it will help to keep your body but also increases it protection against illness and diseases.

I believe there is no wrong formula. If you can do both, even better. But if you can just exercise, or just watch your diet, so be it!
