Holy Protection Can Make Low- Mana Battles Longer
Introduction
Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
This will be my second entry for this weeks Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Heavy Hitters. This is a ruleset were all monsters gain the Divine Shield ability.
Once again, I will be using @bltzr-wizard-726 for this battle which is the scholar account I'm playing from Balthazar Guild in partnership with Side Door Ventures and was currently playing on Diamond League of the Modern format.
But before I reveal the battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.
Holy Protection
Holly Protection | All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability. The first time the Monster takes damage it is ignored. |
When it comes to Divine Shield, the summoner Lorna Shine gives this ability to all friendly monsters at the start of the battle. Although monsters do not take damage the first time, Divine Shield does not provide protection against Poison or other debuff skills.

Battle Recap
Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.
Did My Strategy Work?
With all monsters having the Divine Shield ability due to the Holy Protection ruleset, even a low mana battle can take many rounds to finish which can be seen in this battle but the strategy by which I was able to win this battle factored with my choice of summoner which allows me to use both dragon and life element monsters by which expand my choice of monsters to use on such a small mana battle and ended up with a monster that can increase my speed which also becomes vital on this battle.
That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
