Band Collaborations: Part 2
Hello to all my fellow music lovers! @saydie here and for this week's TTT, I have another list of songs that were made by bands collaborating with others bands and/or other musicians.
Simple Plan- Summer Paradise Ft. Taka
The first song on my list was Summer Paradise in collaboration with Taka of One OK Rock for the Japanese Version of their 4th album Get Your Heart On released on 2011. I think of this song as summer was just around the corner and this song just reminds me of it and want to go on a vacation with friends just chilling around with beer on my left hand and barbeque on the right. This was one of those feel good song and the way Simple plan and Taka sing together was so authentic it does not feel they are from a different band and neither how they spent their time together in the video.
Bring Me the Horizon- Kingslayer Ft. Babymetal
My second song got more heavy this time with the song Kingslayer in collaboration with Babymetal which is the pioneer of the Kawai Metal genre. For this one, being recorded at different place was an understatement as this was recorded on different countries, as it was made on 2020 where lockdowns and country restrictions was very strict because of the pandemic so to be able to make this type of songs shows the talent of both group not to mention, the message that it has. The song addresses how people think they have a choice but was generally affected by other peoples opinion, societal perceptions and the government and tells them to wake up and be free from this control.
Polyphia - ABC Ft. Sofia Black
For my last video, I share ABC in collaboration with Sophia Black for the bands 4th album Remember That You Will Die. If you remember Polyphia is an instrumental band but for this album, they made lots of collaboration with other musicians, this song being one of those and I really like it for being a mixed of instrumental and pop music which appeals not only to guitar nerds but also for the general audience and was also learned how to speak the alphabet in Japanese.
And that was it for this week's #threetunetuesday post. This was a project initiated by @ablaze where everyone was free to share their favorite music every Tuesday. Thank you very much if you made it till the end and you can tell me which song have you liked or was something that you never heard.
See you until next time!
