I just had my daughter's favorite breakfast, French Toast at Dragon Fly Cafe. I also had my very own version since my daughter always asked me that almost now and then she craves for it! I would like to tell you first, my recipe before I tell you my experience with Dragon Fly's French Toast.

Ingredients are the following; (2 French Toast)

  • bread (2 loaves of sliced bread, extra big - I bought sliced bread at Bread Talk)
  • milk (half cup)
  • butter (small cube sliced)
  • egg (1 medium)
  • cinnamon powder (optional)
  • sugar (2 teaspoon)
  1. I always start with mixing milk and egg in a bowl with 2 teaspoons of sugar.
  2. Pre-heat the pan (low-level fire)
  3. Put the butter in the pan after heating and melt it.
  4. Make sure you have a big bowl where you can soak the bread in the mixture of egg and milk.
  5. Cook the bread for 1-2 minutes depending on how you want your French toast to be (medium or well-cooked)
  6. Serve with sprinkles of cinnamon powder or vanilla ice cream on top! :)

There you have it guys! That's my simple French Toast recipe. Okay, let me tell you how I enjoyed having a French toast at Dragon Fly. It was a little expensive considering that it was just a loaf of bread and an ice cream on top, plus the sliced of kiwi and apples on the side.

This serving is Php210.00 or 3.57$. Though it was good! I love the crunchiness on the outside that the caramel did and the soft texture on the inside. It was a perfect pair for my coffee. Overall, I love to take my daughter here to compare it with mine. haha!

How about you? Do you have the same recipe?

I have often got up in the morning, craving for some medium French toast. Though my mom and grandmother do the same recipe always so very different, I think the secret truly is love, making it so unique and so soggy at the same time. I have a thing for soft battery bites when compared to the crunchier version. I think the only ingredient that we miss is the cinnamon, nonetheless, very interesting to see how you make it. Thank you for posting..☺️🧁
