Mommy Diary 01 - Back To School

After her two months vacation, she's back to school again. Today let's talk about the struggle of every parents during the first day of school. Especially to those parents who have children in nursery and just strated going to school. I know, I know! It's quite hard to see your child crying when you sent them to school. My baby was like that too during her nursery days, back when she was so little and cute. Those were the days that you feel like crying too and your heart was squeezed seeing your child crying but we have to be stronger if we want our child to learn.

During her kindergarten days, she started being strong already and only cries a little. Since pandemic happend, I've got no choice but to let her stop for a year which was the reason she's a year behind her cousin. Good thing though that she started a year earlier than her age, so it was okay to let her stop for a year. Then after a year, I decided to enroll her for 1st Grade eventhough they will be having an online class due to pandemic. It was still okay since she was able to finished it with honors. When face to face classes resume during her 2nd Grade, she was too eager and excited at the same time to be at school and she have met a lot of friends which became her besties too. Now on her 3rd Grade, during her first day of class, last week, my daughter seems sad and discouraged to go to school the following week because her closed friends are in different section. She told me that she doesn't want to go to school while crying. As a mom, I have to explain to her that everything is fine and that she needed to have other friends too. I told her that she's the friendly type so I'm pretty sure she can find friends easily. Good thing that she listend and was convinced.

Now, our only struggle is the traffic which means we have to wake up as early as possible to avoid being late. I was really surprised a whil ago seeing plenty of students than before after all the students from North Campus were transferred at South Campus. It was a hectic day but I'm just really glad that we have bought her requirements already and have already covered and labeled her notebooks. She also started sharing about how she gained new friends already which made me really happy.
