Un Gato Muy Particular [Esp-Eng]

¡Hola Gente Bella! No sé si soy la única, pero siento que este año trajo la velocidad a mil, y se ha pasado el tiempo muy rápido. 🤭 Que gusto poder estar de nuevo por esta hermosa comunidad, espero la estén pasando genial.

Creo que la vida está compuesta por pequeños momentos, y que son esos, los que nos inspiran y nos llenan de dicha y felicidad, aunque a menudo no los sabemos reconocer hasta que se han ido. Por eso siempre valoró cada pequeño momento que puedo compartir con mi familia y amigos, ellos son muy valiosos para mí. Tal vez no siempre se los digo pero trato de demostrarlo cada vez que me es posible, y sé bien que ellos lo notan.

Hello Beautiful People! I don't know if I'm the only one, but I feel like this year brought the speed to a thousand, and the time has gone by so fast. 🤭 What a pleasure to be back in this beautiful community, I hope you are having a great time.

I believe that life is made up of little moments, and that it is those, that inspire us and fill us with bliss and happiness, even though we often don't know how to recognize them until they are gone. That's why I always value every little moment I can share with my family and friends, they are very precious to me. Maybe I don't always tell them but I try to show it whenever possible, and I know they notice it.

Hace algunos años

Hace un par de semanas pude disfrutar de esos momentos que te llenan el corazón de alegría, pues un "Gato" muy particular llegaba de visita. Bien, este "Gato" es un amigo muy querido, no solo para mí sino para toda mi familia, su nombre es Luis, y ya lo había mencionado en uno de mis post anteriores sobre mi estadía en Perú.

Lo que sucede con este "Gatito" (como le digo de cariño, o cuando necesito algún favor suyo jajaja), es que lo conocimos por una muy querida amiga mía, y de toda mi familia. Por lo general, todos nuestros amigos, siempre han hecho amistad con todos en casa, sea quien sea que los haya traído primero, es decir que, si eres mi amigo, seguramente toda mi familia te conoce y también te han brindado su amistad. En mi casa siempre ha sido así. Y creo que eso habla mucho de, la unión y confianza familiar con la que crecimos, y que aún mantenemos.

A couple of weeks ago I was able to enjoy those moments that fill your heart with joy, because a very particular "Cat" came to visit. Well, this "Cat" is a very dear friend, not only for me but for all my family, his name is Luis, and I had already mentioned him in one of my previous posts about my stay in Peru.

What happens with this "Kitty" (as I call him affectionately, or when I need a favor from him hahaha), is that we met him through a very dear friend of mine, and of all my family. In general, all our friends, have always made friends with everyone at home, whoever brought them first, that is to say, if you are my friend, surely all my family knows you and have also given you their friendship. It's always been like that in my house. And I think that speaks a lot about the family union and trust that we grew up with, and that we still maintain.

Pues como les comenté en el post anterior (sobre el Gato), mi amigo perdió a su mamita en plena pandemia, estando lejos de ella. Su núcleo familiar más cercano constaba de ella y sus dos hijos ( Luis y su hermana menor). Su mamita estaba acá en Ecuador trabajando, su hermanita estudiando en Venezuela y Luis en Perú trabajando también (cosas de migrantes). Fue un golpe muy fuerte pese a la distancia y situación mundial a causa de la pandemia, pero apoyamos a Luis en todo lo posible, aunque uno jamás logra llenar esos vacíos. Ahora Luis está a cargo de su hermana.

Ya hacía muchos años que no la veía, y por causa de la pandemia, el trabajo y muchas otras cosas tampoco había podido venir por los restos de su mamita (hasta intente llevárselos pero no fue posible en las dos oportunidades que fuí a Perú). El caso es que comenzando el año se dispuso a viajar para sorprender a su hermanita y compartir con ella (¡ya era hora!), Fue un largo recorrido pero, de ida logro pasar por su mamita y llevarla a Venezuela con él, se reunieron los tres finalmente aunque no del modo que siempre soñaron. 😔

Well, as I mentioned in the previous post (about the Cat), my friend lost his mother in the middle of the pandemic, being far away from her. His closest family consisted of her and his two children (Luis and his younger sister). His mom was here in Ecuador working, his little sister was studying in Venezuela and Luis was also working in Peru (migrant stuff). It was a very hard blow despite the distance and the world situation due to the pandemic, but we supported Luis as much as possible, although one can never fill those gaps. Luis is now in charge of his sister.

It had been many years since he had seen her, and because of the pandemic, work and many other things he had not been able to come for his mom's remains (I even tried to take them to her but it was not possible on the two occasions that I went to Peru). The thing is that at the beginning of the year he decided to travel to surprise his little sister and share with her (it was time!), It was a long journey but, on the way he managed to pass by his mommy and take her to Venezuela with him, the three were finally reunited although not in the way they always dreamed of. 😔

Aunque solo mi papi alcanzo a reunirse con él en su paso por Ecuador (y acompañarlo a buscar los restos de su mami), nosotros estábamos muy felices por el viaje de nuestro amigo. Ese viaje con el que muchos, siendo migrantes, soñamos. Y lo mejor para nosotros fue que de regreso a Perú nuestro "Gato Particular" prometió pasar al menos un día aquí con nosotros; lo cual terminó siendo dos días y medio, porque cuando se disponía a irse no encontró pasajes.

El día llegó y todos estábamos muy al pendiente de ellos, ya que además venía con una amiga suya, que iría a Perú también. Justo llegó Luis en pleno día de elecciones para Ecuador, ya se imaginarán el trajín, hasta nos tocó caminar bajo la lluvia (Y no fue algo romántico, más bien gracioso), pero aún así él y @elizabeths14 no dejaron de comer bajo la lluvia.

Although only my daddy was able to meet him on his passage through Ecuador (and accompany him to look for the remains of his mommy), we were very happy for our friend's trip. That trip that many of us, being migrants, dreamed of. And the best thing for us was that on his return to Peru our "Gato Particular" promised to spend at least one day here with us; which ended up being two and a half days, because when he was about to leave he couldn't find tickets.

The day arrived and we were all very attentive to them, since he was also coming with a friend of his, who was going to Peru as well. Luis arrived right in the middle of the election day for Ecuador, you can imagine the hustle and bustle, we even had to walk in the rain (and it was not romantic, rather funny), but still he and @elizabeths14 did not stop eating in the rain.

Finalmente el día siguiente podríamos disfrutar con él. Yo, personalmente era su guía (y no precisamente espiritual), aunque el Gato ya conocía la ciudad, ese día pedí libre en mi trabajo y lo dedique a ser la anfitriona de mi amigo, y su invitada. Esas son cosas que no se pueden dejar pasar por alto cuando valoramos a alguien.

Como les mencioné, llegaron justo en elecciones, así que les tocó acompañarnos. Ese mismo día, por la noche, después de todo el trajín, fuimos a casa de mi hermana que les prepararía unas pizzas. Ahí los niños verían a su "Tío Gato", y finalmente conocería a él pequeño Joaquín. La pasamos muy bien, reímos bastante y luego nos fuimos a casa de otra amiga en común con Luis, dónde finalizó nuestro dia.

Finally the next day we could enjoy with him. I, personally, was his guide (and not exactly spiritual), although the Cat already knew the city, that day I asked for off from work and dedicated it to be my friend's hostess, and his guest. Those are things that cannot be overlooked when we value someone.

As I mentioned, they arrived just in time for the election, so it was their turn to join us. That same day, in the evening, after all the hustle and bustle, we went to my sister's house who would prepare some pizzas for them. There the children would see their "Tío Gato", and I would finally meet little Joaquín. We had a great time, laughed a lot and then we went to another friend's house in common with Luis, where our day ended.

Ellos (Luis y Julia) venían de un viaje de varios días desde Venezuela (debían hacer escalas en Colombia por un percance en la vía), así que al llegar, a demás de descansar querían lavar ropa, básicamente nuestra mañana fue lavar, les prepare el almuerzo (ya que mi mami se encargó del desayuno) y nos fuimos ya en la tarde a comprar pasajes (pero ya se habían agotado), así que finalmente nos fuimos a cenar.

They (Luis and Julia) were coming from a trip of several days from Venezuela (they had to make stops in Colombia due to a mishap on the road), so when they arrived, besides resting they wanted to wash clothes, basically our morning was to wash, I prepared lunch for them (since my mom was in charge of breakfast) and we left in the afternoon to buy tickets (but they were already sold out), so we finally went to dinner.

El lugar nos lo recomendó Eli, y la verdad es que acertó. Fuimos por unas hamburguesas. Lo gracioso es que Eli y Luis comparten el amor por las carnes rojas y embutidos, así que ella le había recomendado una hamburguesa en particular, pero él pidió la equivocada. Y como ya se iría al día siguiente, no se quedó con las ganas y pidió la que ya ella le había recomendado, es decir pidió dos. Luego nos reíamos porque no podía terminarse la hamburguesa completa, pero aún así lo hizo.

The place was recommended to us by Eli, and the truth is that he was right. We went for some hamburgers. The funny thing is that Eli and Luis share a love for red meat and sausages, so she had recommended a particular burger, but he ordered the wrong one. And since he would be leaving the next day, he didn't want to keep the hamburger and ordered the one she had already recommended, that is to say, he ordered two. Then we laughed because he couldn't finish the whole burger, but he still did.

Finalmente nos reunimos con Eli y toda su familia en un parque (Las Vegas), dónde se pueden realizar muchas actividades al aire libre. Ellos (Luis y Julia), estaban recién conociendo este hermoso lugar, así que aprovecharon para tomarse muchas fotos. Disfrutaron de los niños y compartimos unos ricos helados.

Finally we met Eli and his family in a park (Las Vegas), where you can do many outdoor activities. They (Luis and Julia), were just getting to know this beautiful place, so they took the opportunity to take lots of pictures. They enjoyed the children and we shared some delicious ice cream.

Al día siguiente yo debía retornar a mi jornada laboral habitual, así que no pude acompañar en todo el día a nuestros amigos. Pero igual entre Eli, mis padres y yo, nos organizamos para que tuvieran la atención necesaria y la pasarán bien.

Finalmente, al retornar de mi trabajo, les preparé la cena, unas arepas que no podían faltar, y les acompañé al terminal dónde nos despedíamos hasta una próxima vez. También nos acompañó mi papi y unas amigas en común con Luis, para despedirlo y desearle un excelente viaje.

The next day I had to return to my usual work schedule, so I could not accompany our friends all day. But between Eli, my parents and I, we still organized ourselves so that they would have the necessary attention and have a good time.

Finally, when I returned from work, I prepared dinner for them, some arepas that could not be missed, and accompanied them to the terminal where we said goodbye until next time. We were also accompanied by my daddy and some friends in common with Luis, to say goodbye and wish him an excellent trip.

Fue muy agradable tenerlos aquí, reír mucho, recordar todo lo bueno y divertido y además crear momentos nuevos. Reencontrarnos con esos seres queridos siempre será algo muy gratificante y que nos llena de alegría, es como un abrazo al corazon. Amo saber que a Luis le va muy bien, que se ha esforzado y que ha superado muchas cosas con el mejor ánimo posible. Verlo como ha madurado y lo responsable que es con su hermana, me alegra mucho por ellos. Sé que todo estará bien y que pronto podremos estar todos de retorno al lugar con el que tanto soñamos.

It was very nice to have them here, to laugh a lot, to remember all the good and funny things and also to create new moments. To be reunited with those loved ones will always be something very gratifying and that fills us with joy, it's like a hug to the heart. I love knowing that Luis is doing very well, that he has made an effort and that he has overcome many things with the best possible spirit. Seeing how he has matured and how responsible he is with his sister makes me very happy for them. I know that everything will be fine and that soon we will all be able to return to the place we dreamed of so much.
