This saga consists of six films, the first was released in 1976, and for many it was just a good story. I think that at that time no one, not even Sylvester Stallone himself, imagined that his story would be so famous and become so important. Initially the story was inspired by a real life event, but the other films of the saga that followed went beyond the reality on which it was based.

Well, as I mentioned the main actor is Sylvester Stallone of Italian origin, and who is currently very well known, especially is characterized by making action movies. But by the time all this started he wasn't as famous as he is today, without a doubt Rocky gave a lot of impulse and recognition to his career. We could say that this was a "lucky break" to fame.

I remember that the first film of this saga that I saw was Rocky IV (1985), where he faces Drago, a Russian of great size and strength. By the time I saw it, it was already a bit old, but it got me completely caught. Since by then these movies were already old, I couldn't do anything but wait for them to be broadcasted so I could watch them. And for that reason I watched them without any chronological order. When Rocky Balboa came out in 2006 I was super happy waiting for its release.

Está saga consta de seis películas, la primera fue estrenada en el año 1976, y para muchos no era más que solo una buena historia. Creo que en ese momento nadie, ni siquiera el mismísimo Sylvester Stallone, se imaginaba que su historia tendría tanta fama y llegarían a ser de tanta trascendencia. Inicialmente la historia fue inspirada en un hecho de la vida real, pero las demás películas de la saga que continuaron fueron más allá de la realidad en la cual se basó la misma.

Bien, como mencioné el actor principal es Sylvester Stallone de origen italiano, y quién es actualmente muy reconocido, sobretodo es caracterizado por realizar películas de acción. Pero para la fecha en que todo esto inicio no era tan famoso como lo es hoy, sin duda Rocky dió mucho impulso y reconocimiento a su carrera. Podríamos decir que, este fue, un "golpe de suerte" a la fama.

Recuerdo que la primera película de esta saga que ví, fue Rocky IV (1985), dónde se enfrenta a Drago un ruso de gran tamaño y fuerza. Para cuándo la ví ya era algo antigua, pero me atrapó por completo. Como para ese entonces ya estás películas eran viejas, no podía hacer más que esperar que las transmitieran para poder verlas. Y por tal motivo las ví sin ningún orden cronológico. Cuándo salió Rocky Balboa en el 2006 yo estaba súper feliz esperando su estreno.

Why is the Rocky Saga my favorite?

That's a simple thing to answer, but first I should mention how much of a movie buff I am, and that I've seen many, many movies on many different subjects. I love historical films, horror, comedy among many others. But among all of them this Saga is my favorite. The story of a common man, basically with everything against him; in a foreign country, in a poor neighborhood, and even a little clumsy, just with his fists to survive day to day.

Eso es algo sencillo de contestar, pero primero debo mencionar lo muy aficionada al cine que soy, y que he visto muchísimas películas de distintos temas. Amo el cine histórico, terror, comedia entre muchos otros. Pero entre todas está Saga es mi favorita. La historia de un hombre común, básicamente con todo en su contra; en un país extranjero, en un barrio pobre, y algo torpe incluso, solo con sus puños para sobrevivir al día a día.

Pursuing a dream with the only thing she believes she knows how to do in life, fight. His constancy and perseverance in achieving his dream and love. His endurance despite each of the blows that life gives him, his motivation, effort and nobility, make this an easy character to love. I think in many ways we identify with Rocky, at some point in our lives, and that's what makes him so inspiring.

Throughout this journey we see Rocky make valuable friends and lose them, struggle to take advantage of the opportunities life presents him, and fall to the ground as he fights, even as life itself beats him down. There is nothing great about Rocky's story other than surviving, persevering, fighting, resisting, falling, getting up, standing up, hanging in there and fighting on.

Persiguiendo un sueño con lo único que considera, sabe hacer en la vida, luchar. Su constancia y perseverancia en lograr alcanzar su sueño y el amor. Su aguante pese a cada uno de los golpes que le da la vida, su motivación, esfuerzo y nobleza, hacen de este un personaje fácil de querer. Creo que en muchas formas nos identificamos con Rocky, en algún momento de nuestras vidas, y eso es lo que lo hace tan inspirador.

En todo este recorrido vemos a Rocky hacer amigos valiosos y perderlos, luchar por aprovechar las oportunidades que le presenta la vida, y caer al piso mientras lucha, incluso cuando la vida misma lo golpea. La historia de Rocky no tiene nada de grandioso que no sea sobrevivir, perseverar, luchar, resistir, caer, levantarse, aguantar y seguir luchando.

He does not win all his battles, but he resists them and gives his all until the last round. He loses many valuable people in his life, and finds others again. He fails in several attempts, but manages to catch up. He loses everything and is ruined and starts again from scratch.

The whole Rocky saga shows nothing more than a common man, like all of us, with real problems, like us. But he doesn't give up, he doesn't change for the worse, he goes on, he moves forward and tries hard. And I think that's what I love about this saga, the reality with which Rocky's life is made. An intense roller coaster of challenges and challenges. That's why it's my favorite.

No gana todas sus batallas, pero las resiste y da todo hasta el último asalto. Pierde a muchas personas valiosas en su vida, y vuelve a encontrar otras. Fracasa en varios intentos, pero logra alcanzarlo. Pierde todo quedando en ruina y vuelve a comenzar de cero.

Toda la saga de Rocky no muestra más que un hombre común, como todos nosotros, con problemas reales, como nosotros. Pero que no se rinde, que no cambia para mal, que sigue, avanza y se esfuerza. Y creo que eso, es lo que amo de esta saga, la realidad con la que está hecha la vida de Rocky. Una intensa montaña rusa de retos y desafíos. Por eso es mi favorita.

My favorite phrases and scenes are many, I can't even choose which of all the movies is my favorite, I simply love the whole saga. But there were undoubtedly two phrases that I have repeated many times to myself. They were engraved in my memory since the first time I heard them. Both are part of Rocky Balboa (VI), which shows a much older Rocky struggling not to be affected by the passage of time and the circumstances in which he finds himself at that very moment.

Mis frases y escenas favoritas son muchas, incluso no puedo elegir entre cual de todas las películas es mi favorita, sencillamente amo toda la saga. Pero sin duda hubieron dos frases que en muchas ocasiones me las he repetido a mí misma. Que quedaron grabadas en mi memoria desde la primera vez que las escuché. Ambas forman parte de Rocky Balboa (VI), en la cual muestran a un Rocky mucho mayor y luchando por no dejarse afectar más por el paso del tiempo y las circunstancias en las que en ese justo momento se encuentra.

Although it's an old movie, I think I'm sure that many young moviegoers may have missed this incredible production. For that reason, I will try not to make any spoilers that might detract from their interest in it. It is worth the time to watch the whole saga, despite the age of the first ones. Of course, as a fan of this saga, I am waiting for the release of the new sequel of the Rocky saga in 2023.

That's right, after Rocky, it gave way to the legacy of his friend Apollo Creed (wrestler), with his youngest son, who after a series of events is trained by Rocky. Aunque es una película antigua, creo estar segura de que muchos cinéfilos jóvenes tal vez se hayan perdido de está increíble producción. Por tal motivo trate de no hacer algún spoiler que pueda quitarles el interés en ella. Merece el tiempo verse la saga completa, pese a la antigüedad de las primeras. Por supuesto como seguidora de esta saga, estoy a la espera del estreno para este 2023 de la nueva secuela de la saga de Rocky.

Así es, luego de Rocky, se dió paso a el legado de su amigo Apollo Creed (luchador), con su hijo menor, quien tras una serie de sucesos es entrenado por Rocky. Pues ya está por estrenar Creed III, ya que estás pueden encontrarlas así, con el nombre de "Creed I" (2015) y "Creed II" (2018), por lo que es del legado de Apollo. Respecto a estas solo diré que: ¡Están buenísimas!
