Monsoon and homecooked Bread Pakoda with Chai (tea)
In the rainy season, tea and Indian snacks is something a tasty combination. These days we have an orange alert due to rain. After returning from morning walk, I thought why not make bread pakora today and enjoy it with tea.
Potatoes filling
First of all boil the potatoes, while the potatoes are boiling we will chop green chilies and coriander and make gram flour batter. Mix a little salt and red chili powder in the gram flour.
gram flour batter
peel the boiled potatoes and add chopped coriander, green chilies, salt and a little red chili powder to it. Now mash all this well so that everything gets mixed well.
Cut the hard part of the white bread from all the four corners. Spread the potato filling on the bread and stick another bread on top of it. Then cut it into two parts in whichever shape you like. I cut it in triangular shape only, because we have seen this shape since childhood, now bread pakodas are available in other shapes also in the market, but if it is not triangular in shape then it does not feel like eating bread pakoda.
After cutting the shape, wrap it in gram flour batter, try not to use too much gram flour. Now fry it on medium flame. Too high flame can burn the gram flour layer and it will not cook properly inside.
I made chutney to eat bread pakoda, in which I added mint, coriander, green chilli, salt, hemp seeds, tomato, onion and one black garlic and grinded it.
Mint we grow on the pot at home
Side by side made tea and enjoyed bread pakoda while enjoying the rain. This was my Friday morning because there is office holiday on the last Friday of the month, so there is no hurry in cooking, that is if I am not very hungry.
Chutney
I forgot to click tea photos, and funny part is I thought to share how I spend my morning after walk by cooking Indian Snacks, however now this post looks like I am teaching how to cook it. 😆😆😆
I invited my cousin as we both live in same city and luckily he was near by so he came, we had it and shared some with my neighbors.
Than you for stopping by and have a great weekend!
