The Protocols Of The Future

I am a lover and firm advocate of WEB3 technology. I believe it’s the most important advancement since the creation of Bitcoin. Compared to WEB2, it’s like being in a large room where the walls keep extending further and further… opening one up to limitless realms beyond what were once walls. The potential of WEB3 and the protocols being built on this technology is far more significant than many can envision.

Remember, if you can’t envision it, it doesn’t exist in the possibilities of your mind. Everything that exists was first born in the imagination of someone’s mind. This is an important thought to meditate on for a while. New ideas and technologies are born in the imaginations and minds of creative thinkers. What we now know and understand as WEB3 is merely the foundational block. That’s my opinion.

There is so much that can still be realized as this technology matures and enjoys increased adoption. As mentioned in yesterday’s article, SocialFi is growing and stands a good chance of introducing the masses to WEB3. Imagine for a moment that every X or Facebook user chose to add just 1 WEB3 social dApp to their daily social media diet. The effects would be enormous. However, people are stubborn regarding change.

It’s Difficult To Imagine

Here I am about to celebrate a decade in this space after witnessing the birth of DeFi and WEB3 and yet… the majority of society cannot perform a standard on-chain transaction. That’s where we are at. It’s that staggering! For the most part, society is sluggishly comfortable. Sadly, many newcomers have arrived in anticipation of making bank. However, the failure of many legacy systems is causing an awakening beyond speculation.

I have been here a decade, but some have been here longer. It shows how long new ideas need to experience significant adoption. Recent Bitcoin ETFs and other institutional interests have helped to create a critical mass. Even though mass adoption has not yet been reached, a critical mass has been achieved and will eventually lead to mass adoption.

In the meantime, I am excited about WEB3 development, new projects, and new ideas. I would love to see more SocialFi opportunities opening up. Some of the more obscure opportunities are not that user-friendly, and as a result, don’t experience much attention. Contrary to popular belief, Hive is rather straightforward and houses multiple opportunities and layer 2 platforms within the WEB3 space.

It’s a case of doing more of what works and then continuing with innovation. Within 3 to 5 years, many will have a WEB3-based income portfolio. Yes, many are earning a supplementary income via WEB3. However, I am speaking of significant incomes that can become salary replacements. Many view what is possible on WEB3 as a side hustle. However, given the appropriate conditions and circumstances… its potential is significantly higher.

Final Thoughts

I am excited about the prospects of WEB3, especially within the next 12 to 18 months. DeFi, DePIN, SocialFi, RWA, and Play2Earn… the list is endless. Imagine a world where every aspect of life has a WEB3 expression. It’s possible and it’s coming. The best thing anyone can do is to position themselves within this new world.
