Anita~ Character design✨. Process

Hello dear friends of Hive and Sketchbook!!

Dear friends of Hive! I hope you are all feeling well and are having a good and peaceful week.
Today I want to share with you the character design for the little story of Wini's Village.
For this occasion I want to introduce you to Anita the reporter, as the first and one of the main characters for this little story.
For this character design I wanted to experiment with new colors and try to start adding new textures and designs in the illustrations.
Actually the process for this illustration was quite complex... I didn't want to leave anything out and I wanted to transmit as much of the essence of the character as possible. His whole life... and story. So it was a bit of a difficult journey.
But here I am! I've finished it and I'm here to share it with all of you.

Queridos amigos de Hive! Espero todos se encuentren muy bien y estén teniendo una semana tranquila y buena.

El día de hoy les quiero compartir el diseño de personajes para la pequeña historia del Pueblo de Wini.

Para esta ocasión les quiero presentar a Anita la reportera, como primer y unos de los personajes principales para esta pequeña historia.
Para este diseño de personaje quise experimentar nuevos colores e intentar empezar a agregar nuevas texturas y diseños en las ilustraciones.

Realmente el proceso para esta ilustración fue bastante complejo… no quería dejar nada por fuera y quería transmitir toda la escencia del personaje posible. Toda su vida.. e historia. Entonces era un viaje un poco difícil.

¡Pero acá estoy! Lo he terminado y lo vengo a compartir con todos ustedes.

🥖The sketch...
one of the things that will mark your illustration and will start that journey towards the final result...
Think about what you want to achieve and what you want to transmit.
For me the sketch is one of the most important things, one of the things that takes the most time, and therefore requires concentration and study.
I had in mind what I wanted but I still had in mind that what I wanted to achieve and transmit was not something simple and quick to do.

El boceto..

Una de las cosas que marcará tu ilustración y empezará ese viaje hacia el resultado final..
Pensar en que quieres lograr y en que quieres transmitir.
Para mi el boceto es una de las cosas más importantes, una de las cosas que lleva más tiempo, y por ende requiere una concentración y estudio.
Tenía en mente lo que quería pero aún así tenía muy en cuenta que lo que quería lograr y transmitir no era algo simple y rápido de hacer.

Color palette.
Once I had defined the sketch as well as possible, I started to test colors on it.
I wanted to color everything very quickly, applying the colors that best suited him and that I had in mind for him.
Greenish tones with a quality saturation, was what I wanted for him.
The story itself is centered on those colors.
I will be showing you the result.

Paleta de color.

Al tener definido lo mejor posible el boceto, empecé a probar colores en el. Quise colorear todo de manera muy rápida, aplicando los colores que más le convenía y que tenía pensado para el.
Tonos verdosos con una calidad saturación, era lo que quería para el.
La historia en sí se centra en esos colores.

Les estaré mostrando el resultado.

Let's get to work!
Once I have the sketch and the color defined, I will be starting with the actual illustration.
For this I will be using the Pencil Brush 6B to make the line smoother and cleaner. Then I will start applying each color in its place very carefully. For this I will be using the Loop tool to apply the colors faster. With this I will be getting a fast coloring result with flat colors.

¡Manos a la obra!

Al tener el boceto y el color definido, estaré empezando con la ilustración real.

Para ello estaré utilizando el Pincel Lapiz 6B para realizar la línea más suave y limpia. Luego empezaré a aplicar cada color en su lugar muy cuidadosamente. Para ello estaré utilizando la herramienta de Lazo para aplicar los colores más rápidamente. Con esto estaré obteniendo un resultado de coloreado rápido y con los colores planos.

Details~

When I finish putting all the base colors in place, I will start with the details.
I will change textures and erase thick lines.
From this step on I will be applying the colors with the Crayon and Watercolor brushes.
This step takes a lot of time, all in order to get good details and textures.

Al terminar de colocar todos los colores base en su lugar, empezaré con los detalles.

Cambiaré texturas y borrare líneas gruesas.
Ya a partir de este paso estaré aplicando los colores con los pinceles Crayon y Acuarela
Este paso toma bastante tiempo, todo con la finalidad de obtener buenos detalles y texturas.

More details~

Almost done with this illustration, after many hours I will be designing the final details.
Cakes and breads.
Actually drawing food is something I've only done a couple of times. In this story you will be able to see quite a lot of food, especially with pastry.
So I will be getting into practice often, so I can share the whole bakery drawing process with you here.

Ya casi por terminar con esta ilustración, después de muchas horas estaré diseñando los detalles finales.

Tartas y panes.

Realmente dibujar comida es algo que solo he hecho un par de veces. En esta historia se podrá observar bastante comida, en especial con la pastelería.
Así que estaré poniéndome en marcha con la práctica a menudo, para así poder compartirles todo el proceso de dibujo de panadería completo por acá.
