November has been a busy month
The big organic Cucumber was a surprise
November has been a busy month, I have the task of setting up two gardens : One at my roof top and one at my native. As its difficult to get any other flower in winter, I always plant seasonal flowers so that my parents get the flowers that they need daily. So planning it ahead of time, to grow the saplings, and then taking some more plants from nursery, going to native, planting them , working non-stop for two days is a difficult task. But then the pleasure of doing all these has a different happiness. Before going, I I took care of my plants, and then I grew two plants in grow bags to take to my native so that, they get some early flowers. And one pot of saplings were ready, planned since last three weeks.
These two grow bags were being developed to ship to my native. Of late, I feel better to have an assistant while working and when you have your wife beside you, it becomes fun. She is also enjoying now and ready to go when I ask.
Visited several nurseries to get some other plants and picked few of them.
The flower market in Winter is pretty vague in pricing - there is almost 100% price variation between places. This is called Chandramallika, a specific version of Chrysanthemums, that comes from West Bengal. As you can see, it grows lot of flowers, so I picked few of them. And I was delighted to see the Cucumber when I reached at my native home.
Mom had planted this in the grow bag that were left over from last year. And they already have eaten a few, leaving this one and one other for me. Worked non-stop for two days, to have everything set up, and this is how it looks now. No photographs for work in progress as I am the one man army there.
You would never get these kind of saplings in any nursery. She had spinach planted in other grow bags and I removed all of them, leaving only the Cucumber plant. She did offer some small help, but then she is not doing well, so I did not call her often. Later took her for a doctor consultation and did a health check up, some issues are there, for which got her medicines. Need to follow up constantly and do some more check ups. Coincidentally, my football team was doing a mini picnic and I was invited for the grand lunch.
Life in village has a different charm - people are connected closely. These are regular stress relievers for them - unlike a digital life that we live in cities. And after a long time, I had opportunity to roam in bike with my best friends.
The time spent like this makes me feel to run away from the citi life. Probably, after next few months, I will spend more time in my native, once my son's 10th board exam is over. And then back to some football - my favorite.

It seems like you are an avid gardener. I made a complete tour of your garden through this blog with a wide variety of saplings.
I hope you enjoyed the picnic and the launch. That kind of get-together is much better and brings a lot of joy. It's quite evident from your smile. Keep smiling always.
Thank you.
Life is pretty enjoying there.
I Like your activity my dear friend @sanjeevm regarding to the gardening. And main you use organic fertilizer for the your garden.
Hello dear friend @sanjeevm good day
It's good that planting season has started in the garden, and best of all that you have the help of your wife
Enjoy it a lot
This is a good work you have done friend.. it's so beautiful and lovely
Sometimes I look at November and I wish November should quickly come to an end
You seem to have a great time doing gardening and even enjoying the food with people. You are good example for people that we can make our life the way we want . Have a great time @sanjeevm
If it is very different to live in nature than in big cities, it is also great to see how he takes his time to have two gardens and in different places in his country. A busy month but it is surely worth putting in all that effort and then reaping the rewards
Your garden looks great, it must be really enjoyable to spend time there with your family and friends, bon appetit!! 😁

Growing your own food is the best self-respect proof one can have and also a way of circumventing the system by not only consuming healthy organic food but also not buying from corporations.
True, those will be privileged who grow their own food - free from chemicals and preservatives.
Yes. It's something we won't see too often on the planet in the next few decades.
I see you are very professional in planting, maybe you have been in this gardening activity for a long time. Today I also just harvested cucumbers, it was surprising to see them grow from seed to size and can be harvested.
The joy of harvesting your own grown food is different.
yeah, the joy is multiplied even though the harvest is a little and sometimes it's curly but the results are still satisfying
YOU DA MAN! (1-man army!) 💪😊😎🤙
that's some great growing all over!
Hope your mom feel all well soon. and good luck to your son on his exam!
Thank you so much, have to take care of what I can.
You did an excellent job. We have a lot of snow now. Your flowers are very beautiful, so I want spring to come soon :)
We don't see snow anytime, enjoy it.
I think the whole terrace garden that u set up there comprises 'sevanti' and 'gendu'. Both are seasonal flowers and are generally grown in winter. Good effort, and the organic cucumber is always a treat if u r staying in a mega city where the organic things are very rare. Enjoy your day, enjoy the picnic party.
yes, what used to be normal few decades back are now organic - growing our own food is going to be the biggest reward in future.
That's a lot of plants. You're going homesteading. That will be helpful because everything is expensive nowadays. Is that at the Rooftop?
Always gives pleasure while looking on your posts sir...
that is a really nice plantatio!! i would love to have my own garden too but i live in a deparment building with no so much space...
