Lover's Point

Did you fall in love ?

Lovers point.gif

If you did fall in love, then this is a perfect place to visit and spend some time in this enjoyable environment, surrounded by hills and dense forests, with water of the spring flowing over rocks, that you can touch and feel. After hearing about the place, there was no way, we could have returned from Daringbadi without seeing these places, even though I knew, we have to drive back 250 kms that would take at least 6 hrs. Since we were coming back to home, it was OK to return late, and cover this Lover's Point and Emu Park. The ATV ride had already put us on high, and the name of the spot(Lover's Point) was creating lot of excitements.

This spot is around 13 km from Daringbadi on the opposite side, but road was pretty good and scenic on the state highway.

People did not spare to write on these rocks, something very common across all tourist place. Not sure what kind of happiness they get, but I have seen its mostly done by teenagers. May be this is the way, they express their love !!!

Reaching there, we felt the calm and peaceful ambience offered by nature that sets up a perfect mode. We explored the rocks and touched the spring water, capturing some nice moments.

Kids wanted to go inside water, but I discouraged them as the rocks seemed slippery and we had plan to come back. If you are staying there and exploring this place, then it would be a nice experience to plan taking some clothes and play with spring water - it would be a complete different experience. And unlike other places, the water is flowing at a safe level, that you can easily access - a big advantage. Some local people doing picnic over there, came and enjoyed jumping to the water stored at the end. After spending couple of hours, we decided to come back.

The opposite side of the spring is also quite scenic.

And here comes the actual lover's point on the mountain ( taken with zoom), where lovers can enjoy the entire scenic area. We did not prefer to go up as there were no crowd on the top. There were few picnic parties going in the surround, but they brought everything they needed, because there is not a single shop there or nearby - good that we were having enough snacks and water with us.

Overall, this place did not match our excitements. May be good for local crazy lover's to spend some quiet time, but not very ideal for tourists whose love has matured😏, unless you want to enjoy the water or do picnic over there. More to come on the Emu Park......

Not like that, the place is beautiful, but unless you step into the water or do a picnic, its not very enjoyable.

I definitely expected it to be a bit more dramatic. It does have a certain natural beauty to it though. At least now you can check it off your list and find some other cool places to visit!

Yes, that area is full of scenic beauty, but to enjoy that one has to have a relaxed plan. If more people go in a picnic to the same spot, it will be more enjoyable.

Not sure what kind of happiness they get, but I have seen it mostly done by teenagers

Perhaps they wanted to engrave their feelings.

Daringibadi is full of scenic beauty. Mandasuru is also now a Biodiversity heritage site. The eastern ghat at this place is quite dense and further extends towards Malkangiri.

Tranquil of Nature, unpolluted water, peace, serenity......U can't ask for anything better than this. Surely one would go romantic at such a place.

Thank you.

The place was nice and scenic, but it doesn't jump out to me as a lover's place. As you've said, there were a lot of people having picnics, so it is maybe more of a family place than a lovers. It would have been interesting to see the view from the high vantage point, maybe that's where the true beauty of the place shines, and people ask their partners for their hand in marriage.

The place is truly incredible, the falls and the entire place are incredible, worthy not only of knowing but also of allowing more people to know it and enjoy that natural wonder.

It is difficult not to fall in love with such a spectacular place, my friend, ideal as it is to enjoy it with your family. It is also great that it shows the natural beauties of your country. Go and have them.

I think making inscriptions damages nature and monuments. But I can confirm that I have encountered them on virtually every continent. I know of inscriptions over 600 years old. And back then, not everyone could write. Carving inscriptions is probably a human trait.

I have actually come to discover that falling in love is a beautiful feeling most especially when you are with the right person
