How to make Pokori: Indian deliciuous food
Pakodi, also known as pakora, is a popular Indian snack made by deep-frying vegetables or meat in a batter made of gram flour and spices. Here's a recipe for making pakodi:
Ingredients:
2 cup gram flour (besan)
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon red chili powder
1/3 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup water
2 cups vegetable of your choice (e.g. sliced onions, potatoes, eggplant, cauliflower, spinach, etc.)
Oil for deep frying
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, and baking soda. Mix well.
Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously, until a smooth batter is formed. The batter should be thick enough to coat the vegetables or meat evenly.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai over medium heat.
Dip the sliced vegetables or meat into the batter, making sure they are coated evenly.
Carefully drop the coated vegetables or meat into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they turn golden brown.
Remove the fried pakodi from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on a paper towel.
Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
Enjoy your homemade pakodi
