!
We usually love to eat non-beg each Sunday and do get together.
Here I am sharing mutton recipe which we made on chulha.
The curry is so delicious that we enjoy to taste even when it is top hot
Ingredients:
- 500g raw mutton, chopped into pieces
- 200g mutton liver, chopped
- 1 cup plain yogurt (curd)
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Step by step guide
- Heat oil in a large pot or pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add chopped mutton and liver pieces. Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes until the meat is well coated with the masala.
- Pour in the yogurt and mix thoroughly. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add enough water to cover the mutton pieces. If using a pressure cooker, close the lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the meat is tender. If using a pot, cover and simmer for about 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally, until the meat is tender.
- Once the meat is cooked, sprinkle garam masala powder and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
