Mermaid captured in a bottle

Hello hivers!
Today I painted a mermaid trapped in a bottle.

At the moment when I started to draw, I remembered when Jack Sparrow's ship The Black Pearl also ended up trapped in one of the parts of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. 😂

I love painting mermaids and everything related to the sea in general. This work made me think about the importance of freedom. What freedom really is and what importance it has for us...

Everyone wants to be free, but it seems that not everyone thinks that the gift of freedom should be used. Freedom is not easy to describe. It is not just a word, it is a concept, it is life, and life cannot be explained in a few sentences. We are all born free, but life often imposes circumstances that limit our freedom.
