A PICTURE WORTH THOUSAND WORDS: THE FESTIVAL OF HOLI
The festival was winding down, and Emma looked down at her shoes, once clean and white, now splattered with bright colors. She had just spent the afternoon laughing and dancing in a crowd of strangers, all throwing colored powder into the air. Red confetti covered the ground, and her socks were dotted with splashes of pink and orange.
Emma hadn’t planned to join the festival, but the music, the colors, and the happiness in the air drew her in. For hours, she forgot everything else, just enjoying the moment. Now, as she sat on the pavement, catching her breath, she smiled. Her clothes and shoes were messy, but her heart was full.
WHAT I SEE
The scene shows a teenager sitting on what looks like a pavement, her entire body covered in paint. The street around her is also blanketed in bright colors.
WHAT I FEEL
The scene resembles the Holi festival in India or Austria, where colors are sprayed to celebrate love and goodwill.
I thought this was some kind of actual festival, but I could not think of which one in India ... thanks!
It's the first time I hear about this festival but it sounds fun. It's better to wear the old clothes though.
