The connection that matters

Greetings!

The word connection is a very deep word with a deeper meaning. It's a word beyond ordinary word and this is because it has to do with human. The word has to do with human coming together to have a relationship. But when talking about relationship here, the relationship might be a surface relationship or a deeper one, it all depends on the kind of relationship one chooses or betterstill, the kind of connection that connects you to others.

When talking about connection, it's a great and gateway to meeting and having relationships with others and it can come in anyway and form. Connection can be from parents to children which can be refers to as a biological connection, sibling to siblings connection and also, we have the outside world connection which is outside the family connection. One thing about connection is that, it can make or mar ones life. So, when connecting, one thing that should always be at the back of our mind is to connect right.

Like I said earlier, connection is deeper than expected or assumed by everybody and it's can be between two or more people. In fact, it's an unlimited relationship with people and there's no actual number of people that one can connects with, it's all depends on the individual. Connection like I said earlier is a gateway to knowing people and it's opened great doors for many.

Though, I have had my own share of the word connection and it's always been a bitter sweet experiences for me. Connection to me and in my own opinion is beyond friendship you can take it or leave it. It's even beyond family ties and that's why it's more than a relationship.

I'm this kind of a shy person that doesn't make friends that much. Not that I don't make friends as such, but it really take time for me to make friends with new people, but once I'm into you, then nothing on earth can separate us. So, in my secondary school days I met with alots of people and makes friends with few of them. But one thing about my friendship or connection with them is that it's defined. How? I don't relate with everybody the same way, there are some that are friends with benefits, they only makes friends with you because of what they stand to gain from you, so, I relate with them as such and there are some that are always there for you come rain come shine, through thick or thin.so, this second set are my favorites and they are my connects.

Though, most of them are no longer around, but we still connect somehow. Sometimes ago, one of them called, though, we have heard from each other for a very long time. SO, he called and asked about my wellbeing. After that, he asked me if I'm still into supply of the building materials such as the granite, stone dust and sand that I told him I was doing when we last chatted on phone, it was then I replied him I'm still into it, so, he promised to call me back, not quite long, he called back and promised to connect me to a man handling a big project who happened to be his longtime friend, with the warning that I must not tarnish his image. When he said all he has said, I was happy and this is because, having done the business for a very long time, I'm about to rise again. So, immediately he hung up the call, I put a call through the number he sent to me and the man honoured my call and asked me to come over to Lagos the following, at Lagos, I met with the man and he said, that your friend that connects you to me is a very good friend of mine and that he would do anything for him, it was right there we discussed and seal the contract. And the rest was history and since then, I have been the major supplier of the man and not only that, the man whom my friend connected me to has also connected me to another set of contractors. What a connection? What a link?

So, as a Minimalist, one thing I believe and I know for sure is that, friendship leads to connection and connection is the simple link needed to move to the next phase of one's life. Connection is deeper than friendship, it's a bond and when talking about bond and connection, they are inseparable. Like that my friend that connects me, one thing is that he may have people by his side doing the same thing as I but he chose me over them because of the bond that has existed or been between us. One can be friend to a friend without a bond, but connection create bond and when the two comes together, they bring about the link, I will call it a missing link that is found through connection. I have never made such huge amount of profit from the link and connect my friend gave me in my previous supplies. Just a simple connect that link me up to my benefactor. So, friendship can only bring about connection but not the real connection.
