Rise Up And Keep Going

The major reason behind the lack of success of a lot of people is not because they failed at some points but because they accepted it as their fate and they stopped trying. A lot of many successful people we see today also had times that they were down or even failed, but they never allowed it to stop them from getting up and keep going. If you do not stop your failure by trying again, your failure will stop you. It is not a "sin" to fall at an attempt but it becomes one when you remain in that spot that you have fallen. So rise up and keep going.

I once read the story of one of the world's renowned tech giants of this present time. Before his company launched, he had tried a lot times without hitting a green light. In fact, almost everyone he met for assistance during the startup of the company turned him down because they did not see any future in what he planned to do, at least not from someone like him that no one believed something like this would come from. However, in all these, he did not let the opinions of others and his failed attempts to determine his future. With the little he could get, he launched his company.

Even when he launched it, more fundings did not seem to come forth, so he had to sell almost all his possessions to be able to fund his company and to keep going. Just like baby steps, the company started to grow and beyond the expectations of others, from who they never thought possible, it became a leading name in the tech world. If he had allowed the situations and circumstances he faced to stop him from trying again, he would have missed out of his destiny. That your first attempt did not yield positively does not mean you should sulk over it or remain at the same spot, so rise up, try again, and keep going.

You may not have had a choice of what led to you falling, but you have a choice of either remaining in the fallen state or to bounce back right up. I remember what a mentor once said and I feel the need to drop it here; "success does not necessarily mean lack of failure but rising up each time you fail." Of course, to the person determined to succeed, failure is only a process and not a final result. That is, they use it as a tool to get better and then achieve even something bigger.

What some people see as a dead-end in failure can be turned to just a bend, but only if you can look beyond the failure. When something may look like a setback, it may only be some steps backwards that has the ability to set the required platform for you to have a better and more glorious come back. In the last World Cup competition that was held a few months ago, the team that eventually won the competition lost their opening match. I mean, who would have expected them to lose and still end up winning the entire competition? However, they only determined not to allow the failure to affect their chances of success.

By the time the next game came up, they beat their opponent and went all the way to qualify for the "round of 16," quarterfinals, semifinals and then won the finals. Adorably, in one of these games, they also met the same team that they had initially lost to at the beginning, but this time, things turned out differently - they won them. This goes to prove that failing does not make one a failure but accepting it does. You only become a failure if you have stopped making attempt. But as long as you keep going, then you are not a failure. I conclude with this statement that I once made to someone:

The only way to keep succeeding in life is by continuously moving irrespective of what is happening.

Peace on y'all
