Proper Preparation; Vital Requirement For Good Success

There is no good thing that you want to achieve; including success, that will not require you to undertake some levels of preparation and preparedness. You have to understand that the good things of life will not just jump on you, you need to make preparations for them. It is how you prepare that will determine what you see. When athletes want to go for competitions, they normally have a long time of preparation, spanning months or even years, and when they enter the competition, they will see the result. If you want to succeed, then you have no other option apart from preparation. Success can happen to anyone who has prepared for it.

In the just concluded Olympics games hosted in Paris; France, Nigeria as a country did not win any single medal, not even a bronze medal. However, some Nigerians representing other countries won many medals including gold. This sparked up talks as to why Nigeria did not win any medal, and it was noted that the problem is not the athletes themselves because many of them are world class professionals who have featured in the Olympics before, but for this particular Olympics, they had a very limited time to prepare because of certain situations. In fact, some of them did not even complete their registration process on time and had no time to prepare. This explains what happens when preparation is lacking - their performances were greatly affected.

You may have talents and skills, and even gifted, but in the real world, all these will not substitute for preparation. When you see real competition, you will understand that talent is not a substitute for undergoing the process of preparation. In fact, someone who is not as talented as you are but have undergone extensive preparation process can deliver better than you who have been in hibernation and docility. The truth is that you are already in the midst of an incredible competition whether you believe it or not. In fact, the competition in life is without recourse to what anyone believes, so you need to always stay prepared to have an edge over the rest of the world.

It is true that it is good to get ready on the day of challenge, but it is far better to live ready to wait for the day of challenges. What preparation does is that it keeps you ready to wait for when a need will arise which will require your manifestation. You will agree with me that a soldier does not suddenly become a soldier on the day of the battle. In fact, it will be very risky to empower and arm an untrained and unprepared civilian to face the battle. To be able to face the battle as a soldier, you have to be trained for long and be prepared for the day of battle, not suddenly taking up arms and entering the war front.

In life, one of the reasons why a lot of people are nowhere near the kind of success they dream of is because of lack of preparation. Okay I ask you; if what you dream of just suddenly gets delivered to you, how prepared and ready are you to make greatness out of it? Trust me, you cannot fake preparation; if you are prepared, you will know, if you are not, you will still know. Before you begin to blame something else for poor performance, simply ask yourself if you have done your own part to prepare for what you want. One of the greatest forms of truth that an individual can tell is the very truth that they tell themself. If you tell yourself the truth why you did not perform as required, you will observe that it is linked to lack of preparation and you will learn to get better for the future attempts.

When an examination is set at the end of the semester in a university, you will observe that when the result comes out, many of the students will have different results. In fact, in the same class that some people scored A, some others may even fail. What makes the difference is that the people that passed have prepared by studying for the exam, and the difference became clear. There is nothing that you put into preparation that will be a waste, even if you do not see it now, it will become evident in the future.
