Pathway To Living A Better Life [Part 1]

Life is meant to be lived to its fullest and enjoyed, not endured. One of the things that I have discovered about life is that it is almost always a product of your individual choices. That is; it is how you have made your life to be that it will play out for you. There are things that make life worthwhile, but many of them are overlooked because of how "little" they may appear. However, it is usually the seemingly small things of life that actually holds the key to the enjoyment that is resident in life. Here, we shall take a look at some pathways and secrets which someone can apply so that they can live a much batter and happier life.

The first secret, which holds a very big importance is to focus on the bright and positive side of life. I have understood that what you constantly look at will ultimately determine how you look like. If you look at the bright side of life, then your life will be full of positivities. It does not matter what is happening at the moment, but one thing is sure; there will always be a bright side that you can focus on. In the midst of negativities, there will definitely be some rays of positiveness which you can build your hopes on. When you have your dominant attention on what is working and not on what is not, then you will achieve a better and happier life.

Another secret to make your life much better is to set clear, understandable, and achievable goals. In life, if you do not have something to keep you going, something to look forward to, something to motivate you to act, something to make you stand, then you are most likely to fall for anything and success might just be a mirage. You have to have a purpose in life that you are running with, this is part of what makes life worth living. When you have a vision of what you want your life to become, then it will give you the zeal to go after it. You cannot just live your life without a goal and hope to achieve anything worthwhile. If you play football in a field that does not have a post to score goals, you will understand have difficulty, tiring, and uninterested it will be. This is also applicable if you live without a goal.

However, when setting a goal, you need to understand one thing; the idea is for it to be achievable and to motivate you to actions, not to discourage you from taking steps. This is why the goals have to be clear, but much more importantly, they have to be something you can handle. Know your capacity and let your goal fall within it. Imagine someone that is scared of water with an intense hydrophobia, having a goal to become a deep ocean diver, how will it happen? The person needs to first overcome their fear of water before even considering setting that kind of goal. In life, it is not the size of the goal that matters but the achievability and the potency.

After setting goals, then next secret is to take timely actions. What is the point of having a massively big dream and end up not taking any step towards it? Even if you cannot take the entire goal at once, you can break it down into tiny fragments and then start acting on it one after the other. No matter how brilliant your idea is, it is the action that you back it up with that will determine its actualization. It is worthy to note that action has to be prompt, timely, and right for it to deliver the right result. Constantly delaying an action may potentially render it futile. What you should do now should be done now, not deferring it to later time.

The last secret here, that will help your life to become better and happier is to avoid comparing yourself with others. Everyone, and that includes you, has their own individual destination. What is a destination for one person might just be a starting point for another person. What others have that you do not have should not make you to bend your head in sadness, neither do you need to compare your present position with someone else. You will be surprised that you are even more blessed than the person you are trying to compare yourself with. When you focus on yourself and what you want to achieve without using someone else's achievements as standards, then you will see how beautiful life can be.
