Poverty is a problem in Africa
Poverty is really a hindrance to most African countries nowadays. Poverty is really a cancer worm which has eaten deep into the fabric of the nation. There have been many promises of eradicating poverty in many countries, but we are still the same. Well, is this a Curse, I do not think so. The reason is the measures put in people are not used by the leader to eradicate poverty in the nation.
What is poverty, the causes, and solutions to poverty? When these measures are taken, we can reduce poverty to its minimum. Poverty is when a person or community does not have the financial resources to support their standard of living.
Poor Governance, this is really a problem in African countries, many of our leaders do not know how to govern the nation. Most of the leaders go for loans from the Western side of the globe as a form of solution to eradicate poverty in the country. Still, poverty is here staying with us as friends. Why?
The reason is the leader does not use the money for any development in the country resulting in the same problem. If poverty can reduce to its minimum unless the government changes its style of governance. When the government uses this money taken from the Western side of the globe to create jobs in the country can help eradicate poverty in the country.
Investing in natural resources, most African countries are rich with natural resources like food crops, and minerals like gold, diamond, and others but still, we are experiencing poverty in the country. The reason is we do not make use of our own natural resources. Africa could have been one of the richest continents in the globe but yet still here we are in poverty. The resources we have can generate a lot of income for us which we can use to develop the country.
Let’s fight poverty in Africa. When the leaders are not doing it, let us the people of the nation fight it by looking for ways to eradicate poverty.
Africa is so blessed that it's very bothersome to think of why things are not working. And knowing the solutions to some of the issues bringing about poverty, it's a wonder that we're yet to apply them.
