The Best Things In Life Take Time
Many times, I have heard people say that they want something bad enough that they will do whatever it takes to get it. They will make compromises, they will sacrifice, they will work hard, and they will never give up. Then, when the good thing finally comes along, they are too scared to take the time to enjoy it. They are afraid that it will be taken away, so they don't take the time to appreciate it.
Life is too short to rush through good things. They were meant to be savored and enjoyed at their best when they’re fresh and new. Sometimes the best things in life take time. They don’t come easily at first, but with patience, the best experiences stretch and grow into something even better than you could have imagined.
Sometimes, it can feel like the world is moving faster than we can keep up with. We’re constantly being told to be more productive, to be better managers, to be more positive and confident. But the truth is, there’s a lot of good in our world already, and we don’t need to be rushing to get more. Instead, we can take the time to appreciate the good things in our lives, and that will make us happier, better people.
You’ve probably heard this before. When you feel like you’re not getting what you deserve or when you feel like you’re being taken advantage of, you’re often told to "just wait it out." Your gut might tell you that something is wrong, but when that instinct is ignored, you end up latching onto the next thing that comes along. You let your guard down, you trusted too quickly, and then you were hurt.
Sometimes life gets in the way of our best plans. Sometimes we have to change our plans. But don't let that stop you from doing what's good for you. Let good things happen when they're ready, not when you think you have more time. Sometimes, the best things in life don’t come easily. They take hard work, patience, and a lot of faith. When things seem to be going wrong, when it feels like nothing is going right, when you don’t know what to do next, it can be tempting to give up and to just wait it out. But waiting is never the answer.
Sometimes the best things in life take time. They don’t come easily at first, but with patience, the best experiences stretch and grow into something even better than you could have imagined. When we pray and wait for the good things in life, we’re letting God take the lead. He knows what’s best, and he will bring it to us when the time is right.
There have been times in my life when I have felt like I have no control over my circumstances. I have worked hard, I have done all the right things, I have shown up on time and I have done all the right things, but it hasn't been enough. I feel like I'm being taken advantage of, but I don't know how to change it. I have been praying and asking God for help, but I haven't seen much progress.
Sometimes I feel like I spend more time praying than I do working. I spend time praying that the right opportunity will come along, that the right person will fall in love with my business, and that the right investment will come along so that I can expand and grow. But the truth is, sometimes good things just happen on their own. They don’t come with a plan, a strategy or a deadline.
When you feel like God is telling you something, it’s important to take the time to pray about it. It’s important to ask Him questions and listen for His answer. It’s important to keep quiet and wait on Him when He calls you to do something else first. But when He tells you to do something else first, it’s important to pray along with Him.
In life, this is something that is so important. We can be really happy if we appreciate the good things that come our way; even the little things we have.
It’s always the little things that counts just as the saying goes.
