2023 NIGERIA ELECTION

untitled.gif

For this weekend, we will be discussing about different things, but mainly about our election. As we all know, there are different candidates going for different positions both at the federal, state and local level and we all have a role to play to helping the right people fill these different positions.

So we want to know...

  • HOW HAS THE PREPARATIONS TOWARDS THE ELECTION BEING FOR YOU?

OR

  • HOW DO YOU THINK THE ELECTION WILL BE LIKE? OR HOW WAS IT? (FOR THOSE WHO WILL BE SEEING THIS LATER)

We've noticed that the engagement has been dropping a whole lot recently and we are not totally sure why but we want to encourage us to keep inviting more of our Nigeria brethren to join us and also encourage those who are no longer engaging to please do so. And on that note, we have decided to make our threads and hive post one at a time as we notice some persons are finding it hard to cope and we hope this helps carry everyone along.

Okay Let's Gist!!!!

Be as simple and sincere with the discussion, hehehe.

untitled.gif

Don't you think we are forgetting somebody?... Well, I'm sure we are...

Oh yes before I forget, there are also prizes for those that did well to invite someone new to the party and also you that has done well to invite someone you are also not left behind because you didn't leave anyone behind. But wait... Not so fast, this time you have to be more intentional about your invite, yes that's right...you know what you benefit when you engage so why not let others know about it. In fact I will advise you to look beyond the prize and look more to doing something different even for your Naija brethren by showing them the way here.

untitled.gif

With all that said, let the discussion begin....

Tomorrow na helele..
The only problem here is that some political parties aren't playing it fair enough.

One lawmaker of PDP extraction was caught with a cash of $500,000. That's is undemocratic. And the funny thing is that when he was arrested, he confessed that he was sent by the Presidential flagbearer of PDP.

another issue here is that the LP stalwarts have started complaining that the party name is not on the ballot paper.
INEC should provide a conducive atmosphere for a credible elections. One where voted of the electorates will count.

Preparations are in place in full swing. Infact I happen to have been shortlisted as an INEC ad-hoc staff in my constituency. It is open for students in my University and we even completed the training program yesterday.

This is my first time voting. It makes me feel both nervous and excited as I get to face all the uncertainties of tomorrow's event, both as an official and a voter, and excited because I get to make my vote count tomorrow.

Y'all folks, vote wisely.

God bless Hive!
God bless Nigeria!

Hello everyone
This topic has e dey hot for my body na him I go drop. Alright back to the question

HOW HAS THE PREPARATIONS TOWARDS THE ELECTION BEING FOR YOU?

Well well I supper excited first to be of age to an accredited voter and to sum it up as one of the INEC official,

Well since it my first time to really participate it has been an awesome experience for me, for the about a week now I have been attending the INEC official training on how to work professional during this election. I think am a little bit anxious about it Because of the stories of how election use to be in Nigeria my beloved country, but at the same time I feel fulfilled participation as my own way of creating a new Nigeria, a new hope and a new future.

Thanks

As officials, I believe we have been given two opportunities to help ourselves and the country; to vote and to monitor. Perhaps we may see it as insignificant but if we do our jobs well, we will actively be taking part towards building a better country. Our training was just three days by the way.

Hello my amiable naija people. How Una dey ooo ....hope fine shaaa....the big day is tomorrow, so let's quickly look into this weekend topic.

HOW HAS THE PREPARATIONS TOWARDS THE ELECTION BEING FOR YOU?

Omo, it's been great oo
In my capacity, I have been spreading the news of this election, encouraging people both online (in hive, WhatsApp and Facebook status) and offline to participate in the election. I have my PVC already, it wasn't so easy to get the day I got it but it worth the sacrifice...so come tomorrow, I am super ready to cast my vote .

HOW DO YOU THINK THE ELECTION WILL BE LIKE? OR HOW WAS IT? (FOR THOSE WHO WILL BE SEEING THIS LATER)

Well, I am positive about tomorrow. I am hoping that the election will be peaceful and those with their pvc will turn out. I have seen at least two people who travelled all the way from Enugu state to Lagos state yesterday just to vote... imagine this huge sacrifice.

If possible, I think I will be free and fair, first in history in Nigeria 😂😂

@quduus1 , @justfavour , @princessbusayo , @hivedeb , @hopestylist , @merit.ahama , make Una come drop Ur entry oo
Let's see how e be for Ur end

Need to say this, this year election has to be the one with the highest participation so far for me
You need to see people trooping in just to make sure they vote even people outside the country
Just this Wednesday I have two people who just got in all because of Saturday.
Twitter is with a lot of energy and even young ones and babies know election is coming
Now everyone is trying to participate the kind of energy I like.

The preparation has been with a lot of energy and I just hope we make the right decision this time

Well for now you never can tell how the election would go
I just hope it works out well in everyones favor

Wow... people are traveling back to Nigeria just to vote
I have never witnessed this type of election with full energy from the citizens

Good afternoon dear compatriots and nationalists. As a full-blooded Nigerian, it gives me the pleasure to go out to vote candidate of my choice. It is no more news that the last eight years has been the toughest for all Nigerian citizens, the poor, middle class and the elite respectively; except those who are feeding from our national treasure where they did not work.

The campaigns have ended now and we have seen convincingly that some people are not even suppose to be in the race but in jail for the many atrocities they have committed against the people of Nigeria. I know that if not now, sometimes in the future, we are going to have some review of our past leaders in the law court. But that aside, we are ready for the elections

Crimes Before Election

Just this more ing, Arise TV broadcasted a lawmaker in Rivers state who was caught with $500,000 cash to bribe voters. In his custody was a document where the distribution modality was written out. When asked, he said it was his principal, the PDP presidential flag bearer that sent him the errand. I wonder what more evidence will be needed to prosecute such persons in a just and egalitarian society like ours.

Left to me, I would say that our democracy is in her teenage age and not mature enough yet. It is a passing phase though. Someday,we will get there.

The Labour Party stalwarts across the nation have had different press conferences stating that their party name is not on the ballot paper. They already accuse INEC of not been straightforward to the third force.

Generally speaking anyways,I think the election will be peaceful in some quarters but there may be skeletal unrest in some parts of the nation (I'm not a prophet of doom, just stating the obvious).

One thing is clear, of all the registered voters, the youth (persons from 18-49 years) makes about 60% of the total voters. Believe me you, if we'll come out to vote, putting in mind the last eight deadly years that was preceded by wanton çorruption by the PDP led government, and the high rate of poverty, insecurity and unemployment; we should know who to vote for.

The no cash issue is not making it any easy tho, but to be honest, our spirit is high for our candidate and at this point, it should be clear who anyone is voting for. I go give my vote to Peter Obi. Man we get vision and wisdom. I greet every Obidient and Batista, and Baluba people here.. May Nigeria win

I am also obedient
The review among the candidates are so clear now

The no-cash matter was designed to ensure that the is no vite buying but with what we have seen so far, it may not be business as usual for the two big political parties that have held sway since the 4th republic began.

This particular election, the youth is an u formidable force that will ensure that the polity is cleaned up and messy politicians are swept away.

Okay, we are here today. Let's start dropping ideas even though my pipu don rush come here as if dem don dey expect make e drop 😅😅

HOW HAS THE PREPARATIONS TOWARDS THE ELECTION BEING FOR YOU?

I don preach tire say make people go vote tomorrow. I told them to vote wisely and even threatened anyone who vote the wrong person say make e no come meet me later in the future say country hard. Na dem Sabi oo... 😂😂

I have stocked my room with food since there wouldn't be traders selling and I don't want hunger to kill me because of election. Though, staying without food for election is worth it oo. We are true Naija 😅😅😅

I will be at home as I was unable to collect my PVC. It was sent to Lagos as per my plan but now, things has changed (all thanks to my school for spoiling things) I couldn't travel to Lagos because of safety. I am too careful to go anywhere these days but I am doing one thing — praying 😂😂😂

HOW DO YOU THINK THE ELECTION WILL BE LIKE? OR HOW WAS IT? (FOR THOSE WHO WILL BE SEEING THIS LATER)

Hmm, I don't know but I hope for things to go well. They shouldn't do wayo wayo but I believe God can change things there. I just hope the man I am praying for should win and that is Obidient (LP) Make people vote wisely and not be bribed oo. That money go finish before that day but what remains is the four years on seat.

Just few hours and we go know Nigeria's fate. God will take control.
