Hello everyone,how are you all? Hope you all are doing well.but for me the last month was very painful month and my pet dog nikki is no more.we felt very depressed after it.it has putso many memories to us.i wrote my PG entrance exam and i got about 12k rank in INICET.i may get PG seat in Anatomy,physio,biochem etc in AIIMS college which are non clinical branch.but i want general medicine or radiology.so i am preparing again to get some better good rank.

Today i came up with a simple topic and it is all about BOMB BLAST INIJURIES

We have seen and heard in news many bomb blasts that took place in various countries.during world war 2 its on hiroshima and nagasaki.dilshikhnagar bomb blast,bomb blast in train in mumbai these are incidents that happened and we well known of it.

My intention was on clinical(forensic science) side.what things are going to happen when bomb blast happen in brief manner.

Bomb blast injuries are divided into 5 types -

1.Primary blast injuries

The injuries are due to shock wave(blast wave)

The force of explosion is comcentrical.it means it effects 360 degrees.you can see in the above gifs and you will understand.

What are the organs that are going to be injured or involved in blast injuries?

• Lets see if it is Air blast(blast in air) then EAR DRUM is most commonly affected and next is LUNG

• If is is immersion blast(blast in water), then if we are in water with our head out,our GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT will get injured and if we are completely immersed then EAR DRUM is most commonly injured.

• In solid blasts, BONES are injured commonly.

2. SECONDARY BLAST INJURIES

The injuries in secondary blast injuries are due to FLYING MISSILES
These are the flying debris generated by explosion.

It means whatever you add inside the bomb they are going to penetrate the body when it explodes.terrorist add nails,screws and other sharp objects in the bomb to increase injuries.youcan see in the above image that i shared to understand it.

-Marshal's triad(Body stippling) - is seen in this secondary blast injury.it is combination of abrasion,contusion and laceration.

3.TERTAIRY BLAST INJURY

This is due to BLAST WIND which means injuries due to impact with another object.

Our body is thrown our and hit the other objects or wall etc.

4. QUARTERNARY BLAST INJURIES

They are complications due to burns&toxic fire gases

5.QUINARY BLAST INJURIES

These are seen lately.these are illnesses,injuries or disease caused by chemical,biological or radiological substances.

we know that the atomic bomb dropped on hiroshima and nagasaki created chaos and lot of damage and people still getting illnesses due to that effect.
The above all are injuries seen in bomb blast injuries.

MOLOTOV COCKTAIL

It is an incendiary bomb.i think you are familiar with this one.you may seen in movies and in news.

It is also called petrol bomb, diesel bomb. In the bottle petrol,diesel or gasoline or any flammable liquid is filled and then cloth or rag is kept as wick.it was then lit and thrown at the target.you can see in the below image.
