2024-08-04 - Distriator - Bug fixes & Improvements

Project: Distriator

Correct Review title: Paid with Hive Dollar / Bitcoin Sats

• As you can see in the screenshot above, backend will be sending the payment method name.
• With this, Front-end has to just populate this value in the review-post-title.
• So, review-post will have a correct title.
• So far, it used to be hardcoded value "Paid Hive Dollar" which is now corrected.
• This improvement was pointed out by @starkerz & now it is fixed.

Some Motorola phone

• @starkerz suggested that Distriator app doesn't launch camera on phone Moto G60
• So, In order to reproduce issue, I tried several devices.
• I tried Samsung Galaxy Tab A & I could not reproduce
• I also tried with some other Samsung old phone & I couldn't reproduce
• Tried with Google Pixel 4 & two android emulators.
• At the end, I gave up & recommended to upgrade the phone.

Maps are not loading

• On production app, maps were not loading.
• So, in order to reproduce the issue, I launched app locally.
• Upon running locally, I found that latitude value is going out of range.
• This is the data issue which is coming from excel sheet.
• I corrected data & re-imported everything.
• After testing locally, I shipped backend to production.

Support for Online Businesses

• We've added one more attribute called online-business
• With this, we'll be able to identify online businesses
• Online businesses will have a longer claim duration compare to other regular businesses.

Ship Ship Ship

• We also done some improvements in filter for businesses.
• In filters menu, we first show cities filters.
• After fixing all the issues & adding improvements, I ran locally everything to check
• After having enough confidence about it, I shipped it to production.

Updates: Video Encoder Nodes

• I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
• Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
• On 2024-08-04, 3Speak published total 169 videos.
• My video encoder nodes encoded 156 videos from 169 videos published.
• It means, my encoder nodes encoded 92.31 % of total videos published on 2024-08-04
