2024-07-22 - Distriator - Updates on new on-chain user management

Welcome to daily updates from @sagarkothari88 - a Hive Witness & mobile-app-developer. I daily invest my time with my skillset in #Hive & I daily hive-power-up.
Project: Distriator
Putting Data on chain - Work in Progress
- As you can see in the screenshot above, we're working on things with which we'll be able to put data on chain.
- After yesterday's successful experiments on putting data on chain, we initiated development based on those experiments.
- So far we are able to implement on-chain related changes for super-admins, admins, guides, business owners and users.
- I guess, we'll have to discard the business-owners-on-chain related implementation
- Except that, everything looks good.
- Our goal is to first deploy & test this on-blockchain related changes.
- If everything goes smoothly, we'll also implement business-management on-blockchain.

Project: Inbox for Hive - Hobby Project
Inbox Backend
- In yesterday's post, we shared that we've APIs for user's data like - ignored users, bookmarked replies, processed replies
- Today, we added 3 more APIs for user's reply-template management.
- With this API, user can view/add/update templates
- We are working on integrating this API on the App.
Hive Inbox Mobile App
Hive Inbox Mobile App: Reply Details page
- As you can see in the sreenshot above, we've made several improvements in Reply-Details page.
- We've also introduced voting slider
- AppBar is also updated with user's avatar, username & permlink
- We've also updated bottom-buttons placement
Hive Inbox Mobile App: New Settings Screen
- We have added a new menu item in the drawer / side menu
- From there, user can go to settings screen.
- From Settings screen, user can switch to light or dark theme.
- If at all there is an update available for app, app-version will show latest version to update to.

- I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
- Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
- On 2024-07-22, 3Speak published total 101 videos.
- My video encoder nodes encoded 80 videos from 101 videos published.
- It means, my encoder nodes encoded 79.21 % of total videos published on 2024-07-22

Finally I spent some time understanding the Distriator, and I think, if we have to market it in India, then we will also have to think of tax implication of both the business as well as Consumer. Any thoughts on that ?
We'll just have to onboard businesses from India just like @pro-content, @starkerz, @jonsnow1983 are doing. After that you make transactions anywhere - ZERO Tax, ZERO processing fees. On top of that, you get rewards for your spendings. This is possible Only On Hive.
Business will always try to take it and convert to INR, and that is where tax implications will start. The crypto regulation has already created fear amongst businesses, so it will be difficult to convince them without explaining the tax implications.
You can convert it to INR or Bitcoin or any other crypto => but the moment you convert, you're inviting fees/taxes.
With Distriator, in my opinion, the goal is to keep using Hive/HBD/SATs for day-to-day life.
Once we solve this, we take it to next level.
