Brain-Eating Monster
"My dear Almog, tell me, would you like me to cut your brain out with my teeth or with a knife?"
Almog's heart collapsed in his chest. It had been a while since he heard the voice of the monster that lived in his skull and he thought it had finally left and he got rid of it. But now it turned out that he was wrong.
With tears in his eyes, he said:
"Why don't you leave me alone?"
"Don't be stingy, my Almog. You don't need a brain that big. If I eat a little piece of it, nothing will happen to you."
Color drained from Almog's face and he put his hands on his head and squeezed it, as if the monster would come out of his skull this way.
"Well, since you didn't answer, I'll take my favorite method, which is a combination of both."
And he attacked Almog's brain with his teeth and knife and cut pieces of it. Almog screamed in pain and dropped to his knees, clutching his hands tightly to his head.
At that moment, the neighbors heard his scream and ran to his house and forced open the door and entered to see what happened to Almog.
"Good of you to come, my dear neighbors. Take the book of spells from my drawer and read it to calm the monster inside my skull."
The neighbors stared at him for a moment and then looked at each other and shook their heads at each other and called a sanatorium without Almog noticing.
Half an hour later, the nurses arrived there and introduced themselves as magicians of a secret organization and said they had come to take him to their headquarters and save him from the monster.
Almog became very happy and while thanking them frequently, he went to the ambulance with them and boarded it.
As the driver drove to the sanatorium, one of the nurses named Shalom asked Almog:
"When did this monster enter your skull?"
"About two years after my ex-boyfriend Genesis tried to kill me. You know, it was horrible. He tied me to the bed and took his drill and turned it on to make holes in my skull and suck my brain out.
As he was putting the drill near my head, he was crying and saying that he was very sorry, but if he didn't do it, he would turn into a monster.
The drill was getting closer and closer, but just when it was a centimeter away from my head, Genesis pulled it back and placed it on his own head."
Shalom's face became sad.
"I'm really sorry this happened to your boyfriend."
"Thank you, Shalom. I must say that after the death of Genesis, I felt like I was trapped in a dark tunnel for a long time. I couldn't erase the scary sound of the drill and the scene of the skull being pierced and the blood gushing out of my mind."
They arrived at the sanatorium and when they were about to enter, Almog's attention was drawn to the patients who were sitting on computer game chairs in the front area of the building. They were wearing virtual reality glasses and cooling air conditioners were in front of them.
Almog stood up and said in an excited tone:
"I know these things. I saw a picture of them in a magic book. With these I can get rid of the monster inside my brain."
Shalom said with a happy and satisfied face:
"Great. Sit on one of the chairs and put the special glasses on your eyes."
Almog did so and remained motionless for some moments without saying anything and then began to sob. Shalom put his hand on Almog's shoulder and kindly asked:
"What happened?"
Almog answered with tears streaming down his cheeks.
"As the monster was flying out of my head, I saw his face and realized he was Genesis."

I loved reading you!
How the game/glasses helped to get rid of the monster in her head after a traumatic experience is something that sounds possible to me.
