We choose the once we call blood. It has always been a thing, we tend to find the persons around us to be more closer than our biologicals.
Waking up to the news that the people I know to have raised me are not my biological father and mother won't shake me at all. For me it would be an interesting scene.
The thing will induce some curiosity to know the real blood. But just to know, you see, everyone will truly like to know who gave birth to them. But, it is one thing to know who gave birth to you and who were there for you is another thing. Those that raise you and took care of you when you were sick, hungry, helpless and also laughed with you or made you laugh, those are the true blood.
I never got close to my parent and the idea that they are not my parents won't change my opinion about them. As long as I know they are blood, they were there, while those that gave birth to weren't so hence to me they are just water.

Have you watched the series "moon heaven", at the end we all look for those that have the same blood running through their veins, that's what the movie explains or atleast that's what I got out of the movie. But even so it also showed that great family truly comes from those that grow with us or helped us grow.
So if they are not my biological, I will still love them. They are 'the water that is thicker than blood'. Yes I will find out who my biological parent are but I will still love them nevertheless. To be honest I may even love them a little more.
You know that statement, 'the once that hurt you the most are those closest to you'. I think it was talking about family lol, if you don't believe me ask cain. But regardless the blood doesn't matter all, what matters is what you share, feeling, memories and most of all 'love and a sense of family'.
Evidence dont make a family, the care we get and give makes the family. I know, some may say I dont know why they might have given me up. See it is no reason at all, I have seen a mad woman raise up a beautiful baby.
The the evidence go and evidence itself for all I care, my family will not be defined by blood, but by genuine and unconditional expression of love and affection, through thick and thin.
If I violated the community rules please let me know.
Me and you, in this HIVENAIJA community can even be closer than my biologicals. So what are you saying.

You are right... what really matter is the feeling and memories you shared. The bond you've had all the years is what really matter.

They are 'the water that is thicker than blood'.

Damn, that's a solid line right there. And you're definitely right. Where you find your home is with the people who have shown you that they can be your home. Whether it's with your actual family or even friends. Well-done dear.🌺

Firstly, great topic. If I were to discover that the people who raised me aren't my biological parents, I would undoubtedly be curious, but I would still love and appreciate them.

Indeed a person home is with the once they grew with. First it would be difficult to blend with your biological parent so rather than going through that street of bonding with them am cool staying with my foster parent although I would want to know my actual parent for knowing sake.
