Sunday at the village
It's our last day of our short trip to Trump Man's village. Our bags are almost packed but we can't set out on our journey back home on an empty stomach, can we? A rich lunch table before we leave is waiting for us!
Wanna see what's on these plates?
Chicken Gordon Blue (store bought). It's cooked in the oven with very little olive oil, the instructions said 10-15 minutes at 180°C but I cooked for 25-30 minutes at 190°C just to make sure the chicken is thoroughly cooked (chicken always rings my salmonella alert and it's better to be safe than sorry).
Fries cut in two ways, sticks seasoned with oregano and salt and rolls salted only.
Goat cheese cooked in the oven. I cut a long sheet of tin foil, placed some baking paper in it, laid slices of tomato, then slices of goat cheese and another layer of tomato, I finished with some oregano and olive oil on top and then folded in a nice "package", making sure the edges are tightly folded inwards so that no cheesy juices would sill over the baking tray. I put my "package" in the oven, right next to the chicken but cooked for a little longer.
A very simple salad for Trumpman who hates tomatoes, cucumber and carrot slices with some salt and olive oil.
Our stomachs got full and now it's time for the most boring part of cooking... Washing the dishes!! I'd better hurry, we need to leave while it's still daytime as it's safer to drive in the daylight.
See you tomorrow!!

Very nice, chicken cordon blue is one of my favorites. Hates tomatoes? How’s that possible being Greek….
He hates vegetables in general, with the exception of potatoes, peas, green beans, carrots and cucumbers. They're way too healthy for his taste 😂
That’s very funny. Every time we went to theia’s house she always had a huge salad with feta and olives. Plus the cooked green beans in tomatoes and onion, or a fava bean dish.
How good that food looks, and of course travelling on an empty stomach is not good, and to tell the truth you made me hungry so early, here in Colombia it's barely seven in the morning and I'm already hungry.
